Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Assuming that you have covered 1000 - 1250 kms after first oil change, I would suggest wait for another 750-1000kms. Also, you can get the 2nd servicing done before the due date. So wait for anothe 10 days maybe and get it serviced if u feel like itOriginally posted by Mohd Akbar View Post

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Round about 1500 kms. I'm planning to give my bike for 2nd service on 14th may as I'll have an off from my office. That leaves me with roughly 20 days. And I ride for about 35 kms everyday. Home-Office-Home. So, I think I could make do till 14th May. Right?Originally posted by devils_friend View PostHow many kms have you covered post oil change?
Oil tends to become black as it covers kms.

Thanks bud. I plan to give my bike for service on 14th May. 20 days from today. So, I assume it'll be fine to wait till then. And thanks for the reply.Originally posted by shailendra.k View PostAssuming that you have covered 1000 - 1250 kms after first oil change, I would suggest wait for another 750-1000kms. It has to be; looking at the parts catalogue, apparently it's called front-fork-upper-gasket.Originally posted by shailendra.k View PostSo guys in the above picture, whats shown is the fork cap of the front suspension fork. I just want to know, whether the part pointed at is the groove for the oil seal~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
I didnt notice that till yesterday, removed it now though. I suspect that the svc folks who did my emission tests last service(a month ago) might have put it there. Do you think that it could've caused any damage?Originally posted by Jagzxbhp View PostSomebody played ball with your exhaust 😁, remove the white thing blocking the exhaust pipe ASAP with a screwdriver or tweezers

They might have blocked a hole to get the exact reading in hope of all the smoke will emit from the other holeOriginally posted by Tloren View PostI didnt notice that till yesterday, removed it now though. Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
So after a 6 months of trials and errors and making shopkeepers rich finally have found the perfect lighting solution
And its rather cheap
Dirt cheap
Bosch 4100k 55/60w
Whichs costs 400 a pair
That means 200 a piece
Installed and was in awe
After cree leds,Phillips orsam and many of our groupmates projector setups we all were unhappy about the results
But finally this thing came to rescue
Highly reccomending all to give a shot

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Has anyone tried 55/60w bulbs in their bikes?
Stock ones are just 35w with poor lighting!!
Found this good site called
"powerbulbs.com"
Shipping free!!
Power Bulbs specialise in bringing you only the best, original equipment quality car headlight bulbs and other car lights from leading manufacturers including Philips and OSRAM.
Are these lights any good??

I am using Osram Night Racer Plus 35w bulb which, although not as good as a 55w bulb, is still a lot better than the stock one.Originally posted by TheActivist View PostHas anyone tried 55/60w bulbs in their bikes?

I am not sure about putting a higher wattage bulb as the circuitry is built for the 35w one so I dont recommend them. If you use it then only you can know how will it affect the bike in the long term.

Does installing an osram 55w void bikes warranty??Originally posted by debanjant View PostI am using Osram Night Racer Plus 35w bulb which, although not as good as a 55w bulb, is still a lot better than the stock one.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Hey guys I have clocked 7500kms and got done my 3rd service yesterday.. The bike was awesome till last month but 2 times my bike fall in a standing position then the problem raised. I feel uncomfortable while driving even at low speeds and I felt the smoothness of the bike totally gone. The sound of the bike is totally irritating me and feel abnormal vibration. When I told the same to the SVC guy, he is trying to convincing me that the bike is in normal condition. I tried another gixxer bike in showroom, it is totally smoother than mine. Please advice me what to do further. I'm in Bangalore, my bike is my only companion here.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
It seems the SVC guys are trying to avoid work. Clearly something broke or got loose. Maybe as simple as a nut.Originally posted by dharsen View PostHey guys I have clocked 7500kms and got done my 3rd service yesterday.. You should write directly to Suzuki citing the reluctance of the SVC guys naming the SVC. They will take it up with them and you may get a call soon for service.
