    Nice buy !!
And actually i have to disagree with you on this "slap a fairing on a pulsar to get a gixxer"
To get a idea you have to ride one to differentiate the motors
And r15 cbrs are more sport centric where as this guy is more of "sports commuter"
And moreover this is cheaper by 25-30k from r 15 and cbr which answers your air cooled scenario

Well I get your point but still not introducing a cooling mechanism is not good for a full faired bike .

The fairing on this one is not an ordinary one as it is wind tunnel tested on par with the Suzuki Moto GP bike. It sucks in air right into the engine. Also, there is a jet which sprays oil on to the piston to cool it down when it's running. I've been riding it in 40+℃ temperatures without any issues..

All 150cc make/model have that kind of jet directed at piston, no?

Not Suzuki can't but , why would it undergo wind tunnel test for a sub 1L bike , i can understand for MOTOGP as they run at speeds > 200kmph on an average , so they have high wind resistance. Normally aero drag is encountered above speeds of 80-100 kmph. That is close to top end of your bike , which is certainly not your average speed.

I have heard of jet spray mechanisms on high end bikes, may be you could post a pic from catalogue of GIXXER that would help me learn more about it.

Jet spray cooling technology was also present in previous model GS150R, it is called SJCS ( suzuki jet cooling system).

Suzuki wrnt no stones unturned for this mate
They did the wind tunnel test because the base model was a naked one and they had to overcome drags while slapping on the fairing and the jet cooling system is suzuki exclusive

Yeah the price is correct. But i personally didn't like an off roader helmet for a faired bike so i bought Studds Shifter helmet for less than that.

Hello everyone, eventhough i have been following this thread since a long time, this is my first post here.....

I bought my new gixxer sf exactly a week back for today... MY WHITE HORSE
Within the first seven days the bike has clocked 400+ in the odo....

Now let me share my experience with the bike....

                              * Bike engine is butter smooth, and thanks to the tall gear system making it easy in city commuting.
                              * Suzuki has managed to deliver very adequate power distribution across all the 5 gears which makes overtaking an ease even in top gives without having to do shift down, thumps up for that.
*Even though the gear shifts seems to be a bit ruff n tuff at first but after one week of ride i'm not facing it as a big deal, (not sure if it have become smooth or that i got used to it), but still when it comes to sudden downshifts from 5th to 1st during the busy commuting gives me a bit of trouble.
*When it comes to headlight, the low beam seems to be quiet adequate, but the high been is quiet disappointing especially on highway runs, i feel the core of the issue is with the pointing of the light than that of the brightness... i feel the center point if the high beam fall at way too far distance, that makes us, "the riders" in difficult situation.
*Breaking seems to be adequate (Still a rear disk variant would have been far more better)
*Loving the grunt of the engine past 4k rpm, BASSY.
*Faced a bit of a trouble with the rear view mirror today as it got lose, but got it fixed from the svc.
*The handling of the bike along with the fine power supply across all the gears is what makes the sf the beat commuter sport bike in the segment, or even at a mark of challenging the higher segment bikes.
*When it comes to the position of the mirror, at first we might find it a bit difficult to filter through the traffic as we have not been used to such type of a mirror arrangement, but after one week of ride i find that filtering is a breeze even with the mirrors wide open, just you have to get a idea how much you have to lean the bike rather than just turning the handle bars.

Over all im fully satisfied with the bike, and eager to push her and see the upper limits after the break in.
