Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Sorry there, you meant Speed version of petrol/gasoline.
Yeah, they come with some additives esp some volatile ones to help burn A/F efficiently. Some suggest to top up with premium gasoline after long storage, since volatile molecules evaporated during storage.
Nevertheless, power bump from Speed-Gasoline is negligible but burn efficiency is better; or so I believe.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
bro, when choke is engaged you make mixture rich which is why it idles higher.Originally posted by RohIIT View PostNope, I mentioned 3 factors that lead to elevated rpm . But hot+rpm rise= Lean mix this is for sure
Rich mix doesnt cause this issue , and has good cold starts and well as dark spark plug
lean mixture does NOT lead to increase in idle RPM.
at the start the mixture is set to rich which is why till first service you get poor mileage as well as why bike idles at ~1500RPM.
This is done because petrol as some lubrication and cooling properties(petrol is an oil after all, and when spray enters chamber after exhaust stroke, it cools down the insides.) and helps in breaking in process.

I don't live in Dehradun, Went there to visit my relative, and there was a place Ghanta Ghar , there i found this shop ,Originally posted by Hitesh100 View PostWhere In Dehradun ?
How ever you want you can buy online too. but only very limited quaintity left, i'd suggest to buy asap, coz once they are sold there is no way they are coming back for sale in 4-5 months.
Here are few links that have a good set of bike sticker, they are water proof too , i bought one set from there only , that fox one
Only 3 Links are there which means they only have 6 Total Sheets , and you need pair of same set to apply same on both side,

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Looks legit. You can always check the bottle they are using during the service. Color is fine, keep an eye on the performance to be sure.Originally posted by Tloren View PostGot my bike for the 3rd service today!
As far as ive seen motul 10w40 mineral oil is red in color. The bill said motul 10w40
Is this motul or some other oil?
Can anybody confirm?

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
The bike revs slower than it used to beyond 6k rpm, bike has become slightly louder and acceleration is sightly sluggish past 6k .Originally posted by x86 View PostLooks legit. I give my bike for service in the morning and pick it up after i get back from college in the evening, unfortunately im not around to monitor the work that they do.Last edited by Tloren; 04-01-2016, 06:16 PM.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
okay, so here are the problems I am facing after second service:
1. The seat underneath rider gets hot. I took to SVC thrice. They did something and it went away. But this is becoming recurring problem. At times, it gets to an extent where I have to stop bike and let it cool for a minute or so. It generally happens @60-70 kph, at times when I squeeze the throttle for a quick overtake, or if I ride in traffic in lower gears for an extended (15-20 mins) of time. Any help will be appreciated.
2. The transmission is loud as ****. It makes a huge CLUNK sound when I up-shift or down shift. The chain makes noise just like a car makes when drove reverse. This is bad. I opted for suzuki for its transmission and engine prowess. Both these are being a big let down. Took to SVC thrice for same issue and same result. They adjust the clutch and once bike hits a sharp speed breakers (my office building has 6 of these *************) at around 10 kph the sound returns.
Don't know if its the bike or stupid *** SVC people

.
Please help!

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Get your chain tightened/ adjusted. Also get it lubed if you haven't. And the transmission is naturally clunky. It will automatically smoothen to some extent. As for the seat heating issue.. i don't have a clue.Originally posted by dhwanan View Postokay, so here are the problems I am facing after second service:
