    Hello friends
I have been facing an unusual problem with my bike. Sometimes it feels very smooth and the engine also feels smooth but sometimes it feels rough and slight vibrations are felt. Next day if I ride again it will be smooth and and some other day it will be rough. Is it just my mindset or someone else is also experiencing this??

IMHO, its not with the engine, it might be vibration due to looseness of mounting bolts or resonance. The major fasteners (axle nuts, engine mounting and exhaust mounting) have to be tightened at every or every alternate service - especially the two Allen nuts that hold the exhaust pipe to the cylinder head. A loose chain without proper alignment or tappet clearances out of recommended limits could also cause vibrations. Currently, my GS is vibrating a lot - infact it can get a bit annoying with a buzzing sound. The source - windscreen/visor ! But a visor to vibrate - there has to be some other source, like worn-out bearing or looseness in front suspension bolts. There are many causes or sometimes can simply be our mind at the end of a tiring day in stressful traffic.

Anyone who owns the black SF, any plans to change the alloy color?! I'm planning to paint it gold. What say?! Coz IMO golden color contrasts well with black.

What is the best way to adjust rear view mirrors , they are very very wide for mumbai traffic. Just want to know if someone found a sweet spot.

I have read it somewhere in the gixxer thread that since the engine is new and due to the break-in process it may give vibrations. The vibrations will slowly disappear as you ride for a fee more kilometers on the bike.
Not sure about first service though. They only change engine oil. Which helps in break-in further.

You just bought the bike, give it time. Read the manual that came with the bike.

There is no best way to adjust the mirrors. You adjust the mirrors according to your convenience. I agree they cause a hindrance during tight traffics because other idiots on the road dont follow the 3feet distance rule and get inside your safe space. If its bothering you a lot just replace the mirrors with Handlebar mirrors or bar end mirrors.

Handlebar mirrors of the naked gixxer cost around 800 for the pair. Might not look good on the SF but they do the job very nicely.
You could if you want go for stylish handlebar mirrors from Ebay that are slightly more expensive than the gixxer mirrors but look much better and subtle.

Generic bar end mirrors will cost you around 650 online or at a local shop. But mind you bar end mirrors are not so safely secured in the handle bar since they employ the concept of expansion screws. If the bike is left in a suspicious or notorious place, someone might yank out the mirrors and disappear with them.

Whatever you do make sure you never ride without RVMs or else you are gonna get a lot of flak in the community for not riding with them.

Dont be so ill-educated about the service checkpoints. I you think engine oil is all they change or all there is to change in the first service then you are very wrong. Open your user manual and read the service schedule maintenance table.

You'll get used to the mirrors. In Delhi where I ride, most people assume it's a sports bike and stay away!

Got it fixed at Kaveri Suzuki near to my home the guy also fixed the clutch as we both felt it was hard on hands.

Yes i dont like to ruin the looks by folding inside or removing its sporty look and its not a prob at all in tight traffic

Same problem with my left RVM two moves for adjusting it and it literally loses like shit !
Any DIY for it will be very useful as SVC are guys are tightening it only.
