I too wrapped my stock seat cover with another leather feel cover. Advantage is that it protects the stock seat cover from dust n scratches.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Change the seatcover or wrap it with a leather finish seat cover over it as per your choice from local custom shop. That's it. Prob solved. It's not a big deal about the seat if yo like this colour variant.Originally posted by srap10 View Post

Mate could you post some picturesOriginally posted by joelgreen View PostI own an SP Edition SF and TBH the seat colour isn't that bad once you get to seeing it on a daily basis. I disliked it when I bought the bike too, but now it doesn't really matter! In fact, it has grown on me and I like it now! I feel the bike would look too plain with a black or grey seat.
The matte grey finish looks really nice, especially the appearance during the onset of dusk. It even masks some dust on the surface too (not saying that bikes are supposed to be kept that way). [emoji14]

Here you go! I'm sorry I don't have many pics because my bike had an accident and was in the SVC for a long time. The stickers came in just yesterday so I didn't have much pics of hers in her real SP avatar!Originally posted by srap10 View PostMate could you post some pictures

Indeed it is!Originally posted by leech View PostThat is one sexy Gixxer. Honda should learn something from the Suzuki designers. Any news from Suzuki about a 250?
About the 250, Sagar Sheldekar mentioned that the Suzuki 250 won't be making it to India in PD's recent Refresh vid about the Suzuki Gixxer SF FI!

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
The headlamp focus of my Gixxer SF is way "above" than how it should be. The normal focus doesn't fall on the road at all and the high beam is higher enough to lighten up tree branches. Will be getting an Allen Key set today. Is the screw as mentioned in the manual sufficient to adjust the focus? That thing looks quite small to make such a big adjustment. Did anyone re-align the focus? Pictures / Video would be nice.Suzuki Gixxer SF Rear Disc + Carburettor Red (28th October, 2016-Present),

I'm not sure about the pricing but the blue ones sold alongside the Gixxer lack armour. I don't see the point of a riding jacket without armour unless it's just for the 'look' :/Originally posted by ajamal49 View PostGuys anyone knows the price of Suzuki Jackets which is being offered now?

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
The small allen-key bolt you mentioned is all you need to loosen to adjust the headlamp. I had it done before and will be making a minor adjustment by myself today too.Originally posted by icarious View PostThe headlamp focus of my Gixxer SF is way "above" than how it should be. . I was a bit confused how to use the Allen Key as it was hurting my finger. Had to use a plier to twist it. I wonder if there's any Allen Key grip to make it any easier? The set I bought only came with the Keys. Need to know this, if I were to remove the fairing to clean the Spark Plug / Change the bulbs etc.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Hi Guys,
Anyone facing reduced braking after a couple hours of riding?
Yesterday I almost ran into an auto during a turn coz my rear disc wouldn't slow down the bike enough entering the turn.
I have been doing that stuff for months but yesterday was the longest drive I took it out for at a stretch.
I thought that might have been a one off and I might have carried more speed into the corner, but next corner also i overshot the road.
Scared me a bit, but after giving the bike a little rest all was ok. Any help on this?
Important to mention that just before this incident i had to brake hard before a hump, and my rear tyre locked up and the bike did skid a little sideways, but it was under control all the time.

Don't do it plz.. Gold will look horrible.. I think the red thin tape beautifully contrasts the bike.. So IMO, no change required.Originally posted by vishandy2k View PostAnyone who owns the black SF, any plans to change the alloy color?! I'm planning to paint it gold. What say?! Coz IMO golden color contrasts well with black.
You can add SUZUKI logo on the fairing though

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
To all who are facing problems with their headlight throw adjust and allen key bolts
Go to svc or any mechanic
Tell them to replace the screw with NO 8 Screw
It'll take 1 minute and the svc will take 3 rupees and any local mech will take 5-10
Then one can adjust the throw at their house according to their needs by their own and without the hassle of allen keys

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
For long i have seen which engine oil to use
To be honest it is a debate which i have seen since August 2015 when i bought my bike
I have ran many oils and let me Mythbust a fact
300v won't make your bike out of this world and powerful as a 200 cc.
Nor will 7100.
Lets face it people its a commuter. Not a outright sporting machine. Let's not make a fool out of ourselves by pretending its one.
The only difference you can get is in terms of smoothness and gear shifts and refinement.
Everything else stays the same and it's just the mind playing tricks if you think a particular engine oil has increased your power and torque.
Basically what I'm saying is do not invest in something that is a "overkill "
Feeding meat to a cat doesn't make it a tiger.
I respect everyone's input and no disrespect to anyone but i just had to stop the buck.
