Though any bike can when revved on a Dyno or as "center stand" can reach it's max speed as there is absolutely no resistance whatsoever on the bike. In real world conditions, the bike has to overcome drag, weight, most importantly friction itself. Secondly, CDI rev limit is there to prevent the engine from over-revving and prevents the crank and piston from going to smithereens. Though the little juice at the top end can be satiating, in the long run, it's detrimental.

    Cheers!

    Great Answer!!

What people do not understand is "top speed" is not only about engine rpm but rather the entire bike itself with the design of the bike body and breathing systems as well as friction between road. If only CDI replacement was answer to "top speed" each company would had replaced it and achieved "top speed", but then the same people looking for "top speed" would have complained on every web page possible that the "maintenance is constantly required" or classic "very very low mileage".

This might actually be the raider 150FI. Notice the rpm light, it is circular unlike the gixxer.

All motorcycles have something called a CDI box or a black box, in EFI it's all integrated into one circuit as ECU. For those carbureted counterparts, we have something called CDI, this has all the data burned into a small IC by the manufacturer. It makes sure the spark is timed at the right instant and stop the spark at the right instant. That's all there is to it. Aftermarket ones are sans these limits and allow the engine to rev beyond it's design parameters.

          Cheers!

Is that a wire or routing snap? Keeping in mind this is NOT AN FI. It can be as simple as a earth routing or a ground connection.

                      Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                      The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                      THE END

Nobody will have the price list of the catalog. If you want to know the price of a particular part, go down to your nearest Suzuki motorcycles Spare parts department.

Ya, that was really helpful, but anyone with a "inside" view could ideally help us in knowing the basic prices of various consumables online itself rather bugging the SVC continuously..

You are a newcomer here. I have been following this Thread since its inception. Till now no one has ever posted a Price list for the entire catalog. Infact I myself was denied a pricelist directly by Suzuki on multiple occasions since its not for Customers.

If you want prices of basic parts and products that are usually consumed during service, then go through all the pages and look at the Receipts that some owners have posted.

Also "bugging the SVC continuously"? Thats a poor excuse for not taking yourself down to the SVC for asking the prices.
