Having issues typing here through my cell. When I edit a post it deletes.
Anyways, I have booked a Black Gixxer SF FI ABS which ninestar said would reach before 10 days. I straightaway denied accepting present lot and in no condition would accept bike made before feb 18.
gixxer SS, is your carb model? May be FI version would be having lesser viberations I suppose.

While its good to not choose from existing lot for numerous reasons, what was YOUR reason for not choosing from the existing lot?

Just playing it safer and happier to get a bike as new as possible. Probability of bike being misused goes down. Earlier lot of bikes are displayed and even given for test ride. Even I got a test drive of a display vehicle and they removed speedo cable before the test ride. I don't want to get a bike like that. Also the Stunner I purchased earlier was probably been test ridden when I purchased and didn't have that new feeling. Also it was manufactured three months before and didn't feel "that" brand new so I am playing safe due to my bad previous experience. While buying Tiago also I was very cautious and I got a very good piece which was manufactured few days ago.

Guys one question. Is there any difference between Gixxer SF FI ABS and FI ABS Special Edition. Asking since Special Edition has Suzuki Eco Performance ie SEP engraved on it but normal ones doesn't have it. Does it mean by any chance that SEP gives more FE than normal SF? Specs seem the same though.

Engraved might not be the word to used. SEP tag is present on all Suzuki commuter bikes. Special Edition is only Cosmetically Special nothing else.

Nope. I actually visited the service center today and got the bolts tightened and now the vibrations have really reduced. This should have been done by the dealership/service center before handing me the bike. Was living with these vibrations for 1 month but now really enjoying the smoothness of the bike.

Bro I also have the black SF FI ABS model . Yesterday itself there was news that Suzuki has launched new paint and sticker scheme for 2018. You can ask the dealership to give you these bikes only. Its gone live on the official website also now! New Ecstar sticker looks smashing in blue!

Hi everyone, I want to buy Gixxer SF ABS FI version but there are some doubts I am facing. I would be glad if you can help me with these.
Purpose of taking this bike : commute to office (around 10 KM) and going to gym, market etc.. And on weekends, some fun rides nearby in Delhi.
1. What's the maintenance cost for this bike, if driven properly.
2. My friends tell me that go for Bajaj due to its low maintenance cost, easy availability of parts, better engine reliability and better resale value. Please help I am confused between NS 200 and Gixxer SF.
3. Is this bike reliable for like 5 years, if driven with care and maintenance.

Thanks a lot for help. Waiting for reply.

5 years??????? Bro if maintained properly.. This bike will easily be with you for a decade Atleast.
Maintenence cost is minimal, regular chain cleaning, lubing( for me it's every 500 - 750kms) , regular service at proper intervals will do wonders....

Difficult to find here. It's mainly for the bigger bikes, quite expensive.

That is the only Bridgestone Store in Vellore, call them and inquire about the tyres.

1. Less than 1000INR for paid services
2. Are your friends going to buy the bike for you?
3. Whether its reliable or not depends on how you maintain it.

If you are confused then follow these steps:

1. Determine your usage for the motorcycle---> City riding or City+Highway or Highway
2. Determine the class of motorcycle according to your usage---> Standard or Sports or Cruizer or Semifaired (which is technically Standard)
3. Determine your cubic capacity limit according to the limit of your abilities---> Dont go buying a 400cc bike if you cant handle its power
4. Test ride all the options within the CC limit, narrow down the options according to budget, do some more research on narrowed down options and then Test ride once again the narrowed down options
5. Make the final decision

Yes saw that news, but somehow I like the older colors more than the new ones. I like the Blue (even more the older one) but since I have reached my thirties it would look too young color if I ride it 10yrs down the line Also another fear is the waiting period might increase for new colors and the paytm offer might reduce/go away. Also my wife liked the Black with Red Suzuki stickers more and I too liked it. The new Black looks boring to me. So thinking of continuing with Black with Red stickers only. Its not that common also like the Blue so will give some exclusitivity.
Does the bike needs grip or the original grip feels better to drive? Also planning to get special seat covers from showroom but not sure about the quality. Or shall I get it from outside..
