Yes, the sound is coming from top of the engine when it is hot. While decelerating it's more prominent. Svc told timing chain is the problem so changed the timing chain tensioner, but the sound was still there. In my 4th service they adjusted valves told it was the culprit. The sound lessened to some extent but still it is there and the svc guys are telling it's normal.Originally posted by kuulbhaskar View PostIs the sound coming from top of the engine head and it doesn't sound when engine is cold ?

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Even im also facing the same and i think it is the valve clearance issue , havent fixed it yet, no issues on performance and mileage but its just too annoying.Originally posted by Sandi888 View PostYes, the sound is coming from top of the engine when it is hot. Thinking of adjusting the valves at 4th service.
Btw how much time did they took to adjust the valve ?
For me they told to keep the bike for atleast 2 days !!
Currently I'm using castrol gtx 20w50 because of its high viscosity which minimises the sound !!
Note: i was using original motul by suzuki 10w40 but sound was just too much !!

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
SVC did valve adjustment and other jobs in 3 hours. Same day delivery. Adjustment were done when the engine was cold, well I don't know how are they suppose to adjust the valve when it is hot, and by the way you shouldn't be using 20w50 it's not recommended better go for fully synthetic oil 10w40 by motul.Originally posted by kuulbhaskar View PostEven im also facing the same and i think it is the valve clearance issue , havent fixed it yet, no issues on performance and mileage but its just too annoying.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
The road transport ministry of India has made it mandatory for two-wheelers to be equipped with ABSor Anti-lock Brake System and CBS or Combined braking system by April 2018.
Can I know whether Suzuki will release new Standard Gixxer model with ABS from the month of April 2018?
I want to buy Gixxer Standard model.
Because I am just waiting for Standard Gixxer model with two-channel ABS to release.

I don't think suzuki will provide a dual channel abs for gixxer even in future but single channel is sure to come.Originally posted by gwgreen1 View PostThe road transport ministry of India has made it mandatory for two-wheelers to be equipped with ABSor Anti-lock Brake System and CBS or Combined braking system by April 2018.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Thats applicable for New bikes, which will be launched after April 2018.Originally posted by gwgreen1 View PostThe road transport ministry of India has made it mandatory for two-wheelers to be equipped with ABSor Anti-lock Brake System and CBS or Combined braking system by April 2018.

However for bikes launched prior this date, they get time till 2019 April i guess.
As gixer is launched prior April 2018, it has time for more than an year to get ABS. Same is the case with Avenger, Apache, Hornet, Unicorn and others.
