I bought a black Gixxer SF FI ABS last week and to my horror i soon discovered that the handle bar is tilted towards left side when riding straight. I approached the service center and they have replaced the handle bar but the problem still persists. Now they say their main engineer will visit from Pune in 4-5 days and he will check and replace the parts as necessary.

My question for gixxer owners is have you faced such issues? I feel the problem might be with the front suspension or the chassis frame itself and is it alright to replace them in a new bike? Do I ask for a bike replacement from the dealer? Please help!

You should have checked the bike properly before taking delivery, I did a test drive before delivery and also clearly stated (warned ) that I will not take the bike if there is any bend in the handle bars when placing the order. I think you signed papers stating that you received the bike in good condition. Your options are wait for the service engineer to show up or take to a good service centre to find out what's the actual problem. Handle bar bend will most likely happen during loading and offload.

        Thanks 8reaper

I did take a test ride of the bike before delivery but unfortunately did not notice this issue then as it's a slight bend and noticeable only on long straight. Other things I noticed is the vibrations on left handle bar are more than the right side and its takes more effort to turn right than left. This might be because of the misalignment.

The handle bar is already replaced so i feel this is not a loading unloading issue but some manufacturing error. Dealer has agreed to replace any parts as necessary but my concern is will it spoil the bike to replace crucial suspension and chassis parts in a new bike

Replaced the chain sprocket kit with a Rolon made one. Stock set lasted over 32k kilometres. Yes the stock Suzuki chain is durable😍. And i think Rolon will outperform the stock chain set.😊

Hi guys [emoji112].. hope everyone is doing great. So its been a month since i bought the byk and rode 1430 KMs so far. I did my first service near 800 KM as advised by my suzuki service manual and pending second service around 2500-3000 km.

In between i hear this weird noise when the engine is heated up properly and after few Kms ride up to 6K RPM.

Do you think this two spoons banging together kind of noise is normal or is it coming from timing chain? And moreover, This noise isn’t noticeable on cold engine status.

It's the same sound which occurred after 2.5k kms in my gixxy and now i have covered almost 5k and this screeching sound still exist . Many said it comes from tappet where they need to be adjusted ....my 4th service is due next month and i will ask the sc guys to adjust the tappet !!
Earlier i thought that 10w40 has low viscosity and oil becomes thinner on heating and so sound comes so i changed myself 20w50 because of its high viscosity as it is thicker than 10w40 but the sound didn't vanished though it minimised the sound to a extend

I think it's manufacturing defect or something like that because some gixxer has that sound some doesn't. Unfortunately mine is having that sound, and the SVC could not rectify it. Changed timing chain tensioner, adjusted valves but the sound is still there and it's quite annoying. It's almost a year now I am habituated. But if you find any solution to this, do tell me.

Yeah even my mechanic said the same he told that ride for some more 4-6k kms more of the sound doesn't vanishes he would first check for tappet and then change Arm rocker accordingly !!

So as you living with it for one year so does it cause any problem like engine breakdown in middle of long rides as im afraid to do so

The longest ride I did was about 340km and didn't face any issue but the sound bothered me a lot. I had even switched to fully synthetic oil but nothing fixed the sound. The SVC in my area always persuade me. To them there is no sound like that and it's fine for them.

Yeah i already told u earlier switching to FS Oil wouldnt remove the sound, Further i and my mechanic are in find of removing this sound but it would take time !!
Will notify you if we are successful !!

Aah I see. I will highlight this on job card for my next service and will see their response to this. Yeah its a very annoying noise to hear on traffic. Kinda like a rattle snake stuck in my engine. [emoji23]

Oil has nothing to do with it. Get your valve clearance adjusted in the next service.
