Yes, thats the problem. Its present in all Gixxers but because no one is complaining about it, Suzuki doesnt want to take any action.Originally posted by THANIGAIMADHAVAN View PostIs it slightly moved towards left in the pic????
Its a cosmetic defect not a functional defect as far as I can tell because this is not causing any problem in handling, steering or stability. But when you look at the bike from behind, its looks wrong.
This same problem is present in the front fairing and the underlying front brace in the SF. It is moved slightly towards right. But once again because no one has complained, Suzuki does not want to take action. For My Gixxer Related videos: Click HERE

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Yes, your fender is out of alignment with the rear tire. Though it almost looks as if the rear tire is out of alignment, sometimes it can be the entire rear tail assembly that can be slightly out of whack. Manufacturing tolerances. You can check the tabs on both the sides of the swingarms and see if they are of equal length, if they are, then your alignment is fine. If not, readjust your rear tire to make sure both the markings are of equal, and then inspect visually. If it still is the same, your tail is out of sync mildly. But, it's kinda normal in some bikes, though it looks odd.Originally posted by MotoBlizzard View PostCan you guys check for swingarm deviation?
Yes, using the 20w50 would mean the engine is put under a little extra load w.r.t running when the engine is cold. Though generically they offer good protection, their weight rating means the engine would have to work harder for a given RPM. 20w means the oil is thicker and will flow slower than usual and this means the engine has to work hard for a given RP<. A lesser the W number (Winter or Weight rating) the more easy it is for the engine to crank up in lower temperatures and the oil flow and hence engine works with less oil induced resistance.Originally posted by Biswajeet Patra View PostWill there be any noticeable difference in 7100 10w40 and 7100 20w50
Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END

The length from the pivot bolt to the end of the swingarm is not the same on both sides. What do you make of that?Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostYes, your fender is out of alignment with the rear tire. For My Gixxer Related videos: Click HERE
