Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
70 is enough if you are happy with that speed. Regarding mailing Suzuki - you should definitely give it a try. They are prompt in replying/getting back to you. A few years back I asked a clarification about the amount of engine oil to be filled in GS. They replied me within hours of sending that mail. Also, a few days back, I left a message through the "contact us" link in the website. I asked them whether there is an official spare parts distributor in Southern India/Chennai - the next day, somebody from spares division at Gurgaon Factory clarified that dealers are the only official source of Suzuki Genuine Parts.Originally posted by rj_rogers View Post65 is slow but not dead slow.. its called riding in economy and it doesn't harm engine by any means, when u load and unload at descent intervals... thanks to those series of speed brakes. once i hit high way i rev upto 5k (~70), my traveling route is a healthy mix of free way village and town

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
NOTICE: So I had a detailed conversation with the RM of my SVC, here are a couple of points to note about Engine Oil for GSX150/F
1. Recommended engine oils for the Gixxer are:
If you use an Engine oil other than the 2 mentioned above, you do so at your own risk meaning; if something happens to the engine due to usage of a non-recommended oil, SIMPL will not be responsible for it hence the warranty will not cover it.
2. A fully synthetic version of Idemitsu is going to be available at SVCs soon.
3. There are plans of completely phasing out Idemitsu and Motul and introduce in-house engine oil brand which is ECSTAR (links below for reference)
ECSTAR Suzuki Genuine Oil*| Suzuki Motor of America, Inc
ECSTAR | Global Suzuki
This is all you need to know about Recommended Engine Oils for the Gixxer. Period!
Personal Note: I have used the Motul 10w40 Mineral, 7100 10w40 and Idemitsu SS 10w40. To me the difference between the Idemitsu and 7100 is marginal, not significant enough to justify the double cost of the 7100.
Performance of the motorcycle is consistent with all the 3 engine oils both on Streets and the Track.
TBH Iam excited about the FS Idemitsu launch and the ECSTAR introduction. Lets see how it goes! For My Gixxer Related videos: Click HERE

Sent from my KIW-L22 using xBhp.com mobile appI too faced the same issue this part was changed i don't know what its called. This part was somewhere inside the clutch chamber. After this i lube the chain at every 400km. I don't know wether lubing the chain has something to do with gear shifts or not but now the gear shifts are buttery smooth.

Need to replace my chain. Should I go for the stock one or shall I go for some aftermarket chain. If yes then can anyone suggest some brands.
