I assume you mean a tubeless tyre repair. The repair can last the life of the tyre. So if your tyre doesn't need to be changed because of tread wear, then don't change it. Just repair the puncture and you are good to go! I have seen tyres with 10 punctures repaired and running for life.Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

My 1st gen. FZ-16 had 23 punctures repaired in the infamously soft rear tyre before I got it changed.Originally posted by The Monk View PostI assume you mean a tubeless tyre repair. Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
In my case it was just a nail in the tyre. I had to get the same spot repaired for 3 times within 7 days. Finally had to get a tube inserted in my tubeless tyre. Make sure to get it done from a good place[emoji1]Originally posted by Harshit Dave View PostDoes anyone know the effectiveness of the Rubber Strips used for Puncture repair. Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Is it necessary to change front and rear sprocket when I change the chain?

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Not really . If your sprockets are still in good shape then no need to change. Check your front sprocket since it wears out pretty quickOriginally posted by Biswajeet Patra View PostIs it necessary to change front and rear sprocket when I change the chain?

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
thanks for the suggestion bro. BTW the problem is that my drain became dry and it made such noise. I just cleaned the chain and applied chain lube. the bike is smooth as before and running fine now.Originally posted by Sandi888 View Post I too faced the same issue this part was changed i don't know what its called. This part was somewhere inside the clutch chamber. After this i lube the chain at every 400km. I don't know wether lubing the chain has something to do with gear shifts or not but now the gear shifts are buttery smooth.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Most harrowing experience I had recently. Was supposed to go for an Independant Day Ride. Morning 4:30, left home, got caught in Bangalore's recent Surprise rains ! Waited for an hour in an underpass. Then thought, ah screw this, let's ride. Biggest mistake. It was still raining and the roads were flooded. Knee high water! My bike wasn't riding through the floods, it was swimming through it! Literally like a submarine resurfacing! I was like, no ways, can't see anything, I decided to go back home. Hit many potholes on the way, quite scary. At one sharp one my bike hit it and jumped slightly. Then I heard this high pitched screening sound (like when an old Indica accelerates) from the front wheel, and the sound went off. Was so freaked out, thought I damaged the shocks or something. Then went home, waited for the rains to stop, and went back and checked the vehicle. Luckily no damage. But am still wondering what that was!
Seriously hats off to the vehicle. What pull it has, the torque kicks in from quite low rpms..even the fairing took a hell of a beating from the waters. But still no issues.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
I second you. Even I hit a few blind / waterlogged potholes (some deep ones) during this monsoon and yet its going great. But my OCD hits me to get a detailed check done soon. Even though I did my 4th service few days back before these incidents, I will take it to the SVC next week for thorough inspection of front forks/ shocks or bent rims. The vehicle doesn't give away to be of a robust build quality at first glance but there's more to the story than it looksOriginally posted by vishandy2k View PostMost harrowing experience I had recently.
