    Thank you guys.
Thats a load of BS by the SVC. Lodge a complaint on the website. There are plenty of Gixxer owners who have ridden in the rain and none of them have had any similar complaints. If you go through this thread I bet you wont find a similar issue by anyone else. If that sound is coming because rain water seeped inside, then there must be an electrical short somewhere inside.

Get it resolved ASAP. Talk to the SVC operations manager, and if he doesnt listen then talk to the Dealership manager directly. At the same time write to Suzuki Motorcycle India on their website.

I have not seen under the seat of an FI SF but check if the sound is coming from the CDI/ECU

Your SVC *might* be correct - we have had two rare cases with Xbhp GS (one was mine). After you run it through heavy rain the brake light would start to malfunction. It would come on normally but would not light up when tail lamp was on.

The culprit was water inside the connector (50%) and Suzuki's design (50%) of leaving a generous gap even with the seat locked. Unfortunately, this "gap" is present in most brands/makes. This connector was directly under the pillion seat, above the CDI. The same trouble repeated after a water wash. Some brands have cleverly tackled this by routing the important wiring via the side fender.

First time, the trouble vanished after riding in the hot sun the very next day. Second time, I knew what to do, so removed the LED connector, blew some air with a tube, taking care not to spit and make matters worse.

If they are already aware of this, they should know the solution too. They can't just tell us to ride in the sun and wait for the problem to solve itself.

For some reason, I can't Edit my posts or like any posts ... this would be auto merged - hopefully. Sometimes, SVC gives ridiculous answers like "we have fixed a high-frequency mosquito repellent", don't buy those . Always be polite, they will fix it for you.

If you are comfortable, unplug all wires going to the CDI and brake LED, blow some compressed air, re-plug them back. Care should be taken not to damage them. (or) Request the SVC guy do this for you.

Heard your video, mail Suzuki as Moto said, if they can't fix it. Have you installed indicator buzzer?

          Hi all,

A weird thing happened with my bike i was continously getting some amount of vibes above 5.5k rpm and getting a sewing machine like sound. So visited the nearest ASC in my town. They opened right side chamber of my bike and the issue seems to be serious, one clutch plate is wet and next one is dry this continues for all the plates. The service guys here have no idea what could be the issue they also called chief area engineer but he is also clueless. Does any one have idea regarding the issue or what could be the problem? The bike has covered 3500km

So what plates are dry exactly? The Friction plates or the steel plates?

Interesting, never heard of such an issue. If the steel plates are getting lubricated then theres no reason the friction plates shouldnt get lurbicated (Hence the oil pump is fine).

As i told this was wierd and for these dry plates huge confusions were created and finally the chief engineer said it is supposed to be like that but i felt something was fishy. But the vibes and engine roughness were sorted out. Will check for the plates after few kilometers. I also bought motul 300v 15w50 from amazon at a great price, and ask the service center to change it but they denied. But on calling Suzuki india customer care this issue sorted out, they called the ASC and told them to replace the oil with the one which i bought . They were unwilling to change but i think higher authorities asked them to change it so they replaced the oil with motul 300v and trust me the bike never felt this good even when it was new. The engine sound changed and became smoother than before , gear shifts are buttery smooth and engine heating is very much reduced. It surely did some wonders.

So let me get this straight. You have covered 3500kms and you replaced your engine oil with Motul 300V 15w50 in what seems to be your 2nd service and Suzuki Customer Service gave you the greenlight for this.
Keep us updated on the performance of your bike. Would love to know how a track-only Engine oil performs in a 155cc urban commuting motor.

The change is amazing, most common problem that we gixxer owner face is the hard gear shift and that is completely gone, it just needs a mild touch to change the gear now. No noticeable change in pickup. Engine is definitely smooth sounds more refined. Was thinking of going with X1R engine treatment lubricant.

I commute to work and the ride is about 18 KM one way and majority of that is on NH47. I was steadily doing 80KMPH when it started drizzling. I tried to slow down and get into my rain gear, but alas. The throttle felt locked, I mean, I was able to rev it, but the RPM was going crazy to 7500 when I turned off ignition. Despite all attempts to check the issue by myself, I was lost. Being on the highway and yesterday being Ramzan, there weren't any mechanics close by. After pushing the bike for about a KM into a village, I found a mechanic who checked and found that a small rubber piece which is a part of the throttle cable was stuck and because of the friction, the cable was locked. Attaching a picture of the culprit next to a grain of sugar.

the same thing happened to me in the last month while I am starting from office to home. the rpm automatically raising to 6-7krpm, I did try testing with the choke but no change. and then reduced idle rpm by turning the screw, at first it reduced to 5k rpm so, I keep on turned the screew, and you know what happened ? the screw comes out to my hand . I just went to the home with the bike by using only clutch for 10kms. and next day morning, I went to svc. and svc people find this tiny rubber locked the wire. he just removed the rubber and fixed my idle screw back.

Get the Suzuki Gixxer cover from spareparts. The front part of the cover will not behave properly if you have fairing mirrors on, but thats fine its not a big deal.
gixxer cover suits pretty well, but need to adjust rvm every time

is there anyone who tried enfield or ninja 300 covers.. thats what a guy from suzuki showroom suggested

NOTICE: Had a proper chat with an official suzuki rep. As far as Engine oil is concerned, only the Motul mineral oil and Idemitsu SS oil can be used in the Gixxer. Motul 7100 is NOT recommended for Gixxer irrespective of what the Toll Free number Customer Service Agent tells you

I removed the fairing mirrors because they are Stupid. Clearly the guy who was designing the fairing RVM was High at the time. The bike should not have gotten fairing mirrors to begin with. This bike's design essentially draws its inspiration from the GSX-S1000F which uses Handlebar mirrors
