Are you getting any noise while shifting the gears??

Buying a bike is never easy job.. After going through lot of forums sites i decided to buy Gixxer sf fi... Because of its killer looks and decent mileage and power..
As you all owners of Gixxer sf i just want to know few things from you...

      1. How the pillion seat comfort, i know its a bit high.. is it ok for the ladies who sits with saree.
      2. Is the ground clearance causing any problem?
3.how strong the front fairing and how much it would cost for minor falls?
4.is the power sufficient for the high way riding and shot tours 200-300km..
      5. Please mention if there are any major problems

It really helpful for me if you share your experiences...

      Thanks in advance......
      1. My Mom sat as pillion one sided. Not comfortable at all she said. But, which bike now offers good pillion seat comfort?! If that's such a priority you have to buy some Enfield or the P220. Gixxer sadly has a small, narrow, hard and inclined pillion seat.
      2. There is no issue with ground clearance, as it's the same as the naked one.
      3. Costs are minor as it's multiple piece fairing and you can replace whichever part damages. The parts are tough and looks built to last.
      4. Definitely. Check out Alpha rider96 and many other YouTube channels. You can see they ride state to state and no problems. It's smooth, vibe free, and the engine is happy cruising at 90-100 all day long.
      5. I didn't find any major problems. The key slot should have been higher that's all
Aal the best, please test ride bikes before buying.

        2.

I own a gixxer sf for one year and these are my observations:
1.Definitely the pillion seat is not comfortable for ladies who sits one sided.
        2. the ground clearance does not cause any problem, except for the speedbreakers where you have to slow down a bit, but that's not a problem though.
3.the front Fairing is divided into 3 parts, so that if any part is damaged, you can change the particular part of that Fairing. I have changed the side panel of the Fairing once and it costed me 1300. the Fairing is made up of sturdy Fibre, the build seems to be good.
        4. I have recently done Chennai to yelagiri 3 days trip, totally 700kms I didn't notice any problem except for the pillion comfort after a continuous ride for more than 1 hour.
        5. As of now, I didn't notice any major problems. some of the minor cons are :
*headlight spread at night is not sufficient.
*stock mirror view is not that good.

                      Hi guys,

Need some help there is a weird burning smell coming from my bike after riding it for few kilometers. I hardly redline the bike usually i ride the bike between 4-5k rpm. Even a 10min ride brings up the smell. In this small time span i don't think the engine could produce so much heat to heat up the fairing.so i don't think fairing is the culprit here. Is it same for everyone's bike or there is a problem with the bike?

Another thing i am suspecting is, can that be the smell of burning clutch plates. Before my 2nd free servicing i use to feel vibes at the handle bar, which is quite unusual in this bike. Service center guy gave hell lot b.s saying "it is suppose to be like that" it will be fine after few kilometers. After lot of argument they were willing to diagnose so the first thing they did is removed the clutch cover and found there was very less oil in the clutch plates. No one was aware what could be the issues they started giving lame explanations, later they called area engineer and after discussing the scenario with him again they said "it is suppose to be like that". After that the bike ran fine but merely after 300KMS this weird smell started coming.

That's why i am suspecting the smell to be coming from the burning clutch plates or does that smell comes from everyone's bike. Is is suppose to be like that?
