Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Hi I have used aftermarket ones. I took the risk because I couldnt source the original one for some reason. The after market ones feel pretty much the same, and yeah I agree the either of the pads wear out quickly. But its important to change it to a fresh one either aftermarket or original instead of letting the old ones spoil the discOriginally posted by Biswajeet Patra View Post

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
For the past couple of weeks I've been feeling the bike feel a bit wobbly/ balance seeming a bit off even at steady speed(40-60 kmph). I've got the bike checked out at the local service centre, but they don't really see an issue.
Now I've ridden the bike for 19k kms and can tell there's a difference in handling. Front tyre has been replaced last month. Rear tyre is stock. I only use the bike for commuting roughly 40 kms everyday. Have been maintaining tyre pressure properly as well since the issue started. I initially believed it might have been a puncture
Looking for suggestions to clear this nagging issue.

So where my finger is pointing, there the wire goes through. Pls open the pic and zoom and see, you'll come to know. See, it's a single strip of LED lights. You cut how much you need. I have cut 3 LED length. That much is enough, else if you you put more, it'll be too bright and the look won't be there. Also, stick the LED strip as shown into the top half. Bottom half means, ppl can see the strip in daylight. On top, it's hidden almost from view.
It's a one way wire coming out from one end. So once you stick it, all you need is one opening through which you drag the wires and connect to your relay. Surprisingly, even though there's no gap there, if you remove the fairing and fix it back, it sits well. Since the fairing is 3 pieces, so you can remove the headlamp side fairing, and the middle part, and fix it back. The wire doesn't cut. The fairing has some play so no issues. He bolted it back well, no vibrations nothing. I revved hard and saw, same as before, zero vibrations. Now have been using the lights for a week almost, no issues as such.
The LED strip, something like this it looks like -

Mine is connected so that, when the bike is on, it comes on. No switch.
I have done it from JC road, Bangalore. The shop name is Accessories Zone, in Shanthala Complex, JC road.
Address-
53/6, Sharada Complex, A M Road, Near-Journalist Colony, Kalasipalyam New Extension, Kalasipalya, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560002
Opposite town hall signal, if your going towards SP road, take first left, then dead end, then right. You'll find the shop on your left. Best is to use Google Maps.
His mechanic will install the lights whatever you want. He has custom indicators and almost everything. No need to buy anything and take it there. If you buy from him itself and fix from him, it's cheaper.Last edited by vishandy2k; 05-30-2017, 02:09 PM.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
REQUEST: To all the Gixxer owners reading this, can you do a small measurement for me please. Can you measure the length from the Tip of the tail light to the tips of the adjuster screws at teh end of both the swingarms and see whether the length is the same on both sides or not.
Pics aren't attached.Originally posted by Ram Kumar Nagaraj View Post

Yeah I get that issue sometimes when I am not wearing boots. You will have to push the lever further while going to 2nd from 1st or vice versa.
My advice, get yourself hard boots and lower your shift lever by 1 step so that you dont have to Dorsiflex too much while upshifting.Last edited by MotoBlizzard; 06-07-2017, 11:21 PM.For My Gixxer Related videos: Click HERE
