Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Got my 1st servicing done at 460kms because 1month was completed since by purchase. Today i saw engine oil leaking from the drain bolt and there was oil on the bike parking floor. I had to tighten the screw myself and I was able to tighten it a little.
2nd problem is the gear shifting.. 1st gear to 2nd gear shift is going to Neural at times in traffic on the middle of the road. [emoji29]
When on centre stand if i press the clutch and shift to 1st gear the tyre keep rotating even if i stop it with my hand it starts rotating again.
Servicing done at Automatic Suzuki, Pune.
They made the invoice by adding engine oil supplement "Bardhal Oil Suppliment" 149/- [emoji52]
Any tips to ask the service center guys to fix in particular because I'm going to complaint about the engine oil leak and the gear shift issue.
Also, is it okay to sift from 2nd gear to neutral gear in case I'm haulting the bike on a traffic signal ?

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Get teh clutch cable adjusted properly. Theres no freeplay when the bike comes from factory. Tht will solve your False neutral and tyre rotating issue. Also wear hard shoes or boots while riding, that will greatly improve shifting experience.Originally posted by shockwave View PostGot my 1st servicing done at 460kms because 1month was completed since by purchase. As for oil leak, maybe your drain bolt was not tight enough? Was it leaking from day 1?
Oil supplement is gimmick, why did they use that?
As for 2nd to neutral, why do you think the neutral is in between 1st and 2nd? Yes you can go to neutral while coasting (that is the proper term not haulting) but its preferable to use engine braking to slow down rather than going to neutral and using the brakes. For My Gixxer Related videos: Click HERE

Oil wasn't leaking from day 1, it started leaking after I got my bike from the service center yesterday and noticed it today evening.Originally posted by MotoBlizzard View PostGet teh clutch cable adjusted properly. Thanks, I'll ask them to adjust the clutch cable.
As for oil supplement, its my fault I didnt argue with them why they are forcefully adding it in the invoice and then asking the mechanic to pour it into the engine. Next time I'll make sure they don't do this.

I went to Suzuki service station, at first they re-tightend the drain bolt and asked me to check it for 2 days and come back.Originally posted by shockwave View PostOil wasn't leaking from day 1, it started leaking after I got my bike from the service center yesterday and noticed it today evening.

I sat outside the service center in the Suzuki showroom parking for 20-25mins re checked and the leak was still there.
Then the engineer darined the engine oil and replaced the drain bolt washer.
I noticed that engine oil was kind of black. Is it normal for 100kms running stock suzuki engine oil ??
Check the oil drain bolt just now and sigh... There is no engine oil leak.
Couldn't sleep throughout the weekend as my mind was filled with thoughts that the threads of oil pan has been damaged.
Service center guy told me that Suzuki Motul oil is discontinued. Is it true ??

I went to buy these indicators here as well but I realized their joining end is smaller than the existing ones(R15). Did you make any changes in there to fit it perfectly?

There are 3 specific complaints I have that need to be addressed at Factory level. I have already initiated FTR from my side via an Area manager but additional mentions can be productive and beneficial. I am going to be mentioning Part numbers with their names as Mentioned in the Product CatalogOriginally posted by Deathwing View PostGuys I'd like feedback from your side on the bike and the service centers, I've come across many complaints on incompetency in the suzuki svcs ,I have contact with top suzuki people and can give suggestions, also any other product suggestions or anything is welcomed!
1. 94411-34J00-YVB COWLING, BODY (BLACK) is deviated slightly towards the right side because 94510-34J00 BRACE, COWLING is deviated towards the right because the receiving bracket that holds the donating bracket from the Brace is welded incorrectly onto the Steering/Head tube.
2. 61000-34J30 SWINGINGARM ASSY, REAR is deviated towards the left which leads me to believe that there is an issue with teh 61211-23J00 SHAFT, PIVOT or with the part of the Chassis that holds the Pivot Shaft
Because of teh swingarm deviation 27511-30H20 SPROCKET, ENGINE (NT:15) and 64511-34J20 SPROCKET, REAR (NT:45) are not in a single plain hence its causing uneven wear and tear on both teh sprockets and 27600-30H40-132 CHAIN ASSY and not to mention on the Rear Tyre as well
3. 34150-34J00 .CASE, UPPER has 2 parts, 1 is the plastic casing and 2 is the transparent plastic on top which is glued to the casing. Unfortunately the glue is deteriorating and developing air bubbles over time which can be visibly seen and is annoying. This needs to be resolved. For My Gixxer Related videos: Click HERE

Yes.. I did I cut the wires from stock indicators, soldered them to the Duke ones and then installed them..Originally posted by PrinceCruise View Postparadoxr9019 , quick query buddy...
