I didn't blindly copy the facts but cross checked with the Honda engineer I talked about before. You maybe an experienced guy but I don't know you. So should I trust a person I know and have seen his work or someone I don't know. Bhai I myself did the hard break in method and so far haven't faced any issue thus shared it here and if in future it causes any trouble I'll surely update it here and accept that redlining the bike before first service is the worst thing you can do to your bike.

Also what you are believing in is not a fact, its a cooked up theory that apparently a Honda "Engineer" told you. You are the one acting immature here trying to spread false information. I would recommend you to go read some more articles rather than believing in some "Engineer". Besides this is a Suzuki Gixxer SF thread. I really wouldnt care or trust a Honda engineer with my bike

P.S.1: Dont try to throw personal comments just because you cant defend yourself
P.S.2: I am done conversing with you.
P.S.3: I recommend all new GSX-150 owners to follow what the manual says and NOT Redline their precious new bikes.
What you're saying is true. Dont fight brothers over a bike's discussion. Whats the main objective of our discussion is how to break-in the engine. There are many ways. Suzuki manual or any bike manual should be followed. I believe break-in should be done in such a way so that it doesnt effect the engine.

And gixxer is a 155cc engine powered street bike not a high displacement sports bike. So how much you call or believe gixxer a beast, it still a normal street bike. And should soft break-in the bike

Take care of yoir bike....Dont worry too mch. Drive safe and wear proper gears.

First of all, no SVC is "best". Unfortunately an SVC will perform good only if you are actively supervising your bike. Meaning, dont leave your bike at the SVC and go off to work. Take a day off and stay with the bike until the service is completed. There are many reasons for black smoke. A black smoke indicates unburnt fuel. Most likely your engine is running Rich. If the black smoke issue started recently then get the spark plug checked. It most likely will not be a carb issue.

If it helps I have heard some gixxer owners say Gem Suzuki is good. Dont take my word for it though.

As per my personal experience with hyd Suzuki service centres no Suzuki svc is best in our hyd. I found that the Mahavir Suzuki which is located in the Kukatpally Y junction is good enough for general servicing & for minor problems.

Ok, I see a lot of heat above . Here is a light-hearted 'thought' . Did anyone try to mod and transform the SF into a semi-faired? Something in the lines of the AS 200 by just removing the lower fairing? Or will this require additional mods?

People have already replaced the fairing mirrors with the handle bar ones to deal with it getting loose or being difficult to manoeuvre through heavy traffic. I sort of like the semi-faired "Adventure Sport" look of the AS 200 (reminds me of the Honda Stunner).

You can remove the lower panels from the side fairings since its a 2 piece design. However I wouldnt recommend doing it.

Seriously dude, why would you even think about converting a Full faired bike into a Semi Faired?

If it helps, you can remove the lower panels from the side fairings since its a 2 piece design but how will it effect the aerodynamics is something I cannot tell.
                    +1^

The aerodynamics will be affected negatively no doubt. The SF has one of best aerodynamically tested full fairings out there and work far better on the highways that the half fairings like that on the AS200.

Also doesnt matter whether you were redlining it from day 1 or after 1 month. How many times and for how long did you redline it for before the First service at 800kms? After that how many times and for how long did you redline it before the 2nd service at 1600kms?

If you read your manual it clearly states that you are supposed to stay below 4k rpm till first service and below 7k rpm till 2nd service.

But dont worry, ride your bike sensibly and everything should be fine.
Sorry but I did not read what was written on the back of the container. My bike have crossed 2k kms and i am planning to take it for servicing tomorrow and i was in state of mind to change the engine oil. So should i change it? If yes, then what should i prefer? Please help.

As I already mentioned I 'sort of' like that semi-faired look. So was wondering if someone did it without noticeable repercussions. I won't be messing up with the bike with mods that messes up the aerodynamics. All I might do is just reduce/ cut the rear fender sometime for rough tours.

Removing the lower part of the fairing makes it look like this. Can't think of any mod to make it look any better than it already look.

I'll suggest yo to purchase an adventurer sports bike 😀 and not to tamper with this piece of beauty. In addition....the bike looks ugly without the lower fairing parts.

Thats a conflicting statement, why would an Automobile engineer not be an enthusiast? Also FYI those engineers WRITE the breakin guide you see in the owner's manual. If he

Don't act too smart bro.. redlining new engine is good.. no need to stick with what manuel says. Break-in with low rpm is for older engines.
