this change interval for full synthetic oil in grossly underestimated. You can use thoil upto 6k - 7k kms in my opinion. Though I my self follow a 5k change int. But 3k is really less, you will be throwing a perfectly good oil away.
This statement too will not make a complete sense unless you consider the temperature of the place and riding style. A high performance but small motor would eat a lot of FS/SS oil in less than 2k KMs when toured/ripped on all gears on high speeds in 40+ temperature which we have currently.
On the other hand, one will be able to use the same FS/SS oil for 5k-6k KMs from Oct-Feb by just riding that motor like a Splendor. People do both and that's why we have these stats to talk about.

    Regards.

Have yo tried 300v on your gixxer and rode over 2k kms ?

I don't ride a gixxer buddy, but I'm saying it's better off for those who constantly redline the bike. I'm saying mainly as a precaution for your engine health, if you are a sedate or don't redline like all the time, you can change as per your needs, even if you constantly redline, 300v will last 3500-4000kms comfortably, on normal ss oil , the oil will probably lose viscosity at 1000-1500kms it self also note only when you constantly are in the higher revs of the bike.

True, to add to that we even have good low-end torque on this bike. But i see people taking these things at face value and applying it universally. Imagine people using the oil for just 3k kms even after having serviced their bikes like 4-5 times, ofourse performance will be good but I dont think they'll know they did throwaway something that still had good amount of purpose left.

I see your point however there are people who follow the better safe than sorry approach, which in my book is not so bad, when you have a small performance motor.

I've been changing the FS oil in my R15S every 3k KMs so far(A bunch of others do every 2k KMs), and will continue to do so because I redline the bike on highways(under very control scenarios) but this bike is almost always pulling above its weight for a 150cc so I justify that.

To each his own I believe.

            Regards.

I like the design of SF much more than the Hayabusa. People just respect the Busa design because of the ~330 kmph top speed. If the Gixxer SF 150 was released with the Hayabusa fairing, the average bike guy would go "yucky!'

This is what happens when you hit a person going the wrong way, during rush hour on a 3 lane one way lane, while he is coming in the centre lane.
i was doing less than 30 when i hit the brakes because it was right after a speed hump.

The car in front of me dodged him barely and since the car was in front i couldnt see him before hand. He had time to get away but i guess he panicked and stalled. Any idea how much this will cost? I put the bike in SVC but they couldnt give an estimate as the head engineer was not present.

He is not harmed at all, neither is his ****ing bike.

Same. The black SF front looks dead sexy.

Engine oil level in my new gixxer SF FI is started to decrease after 1000 KMS, can anyone help me out to figure what is happening?

I crossed 6000kms with my bike and done 4 free services in time. I am thinking of changing to fully synthetic engine oil. please suggest the perfect grade and brand of fully synthetic engine oil. Also please let me know the changes after changing the fully synthetic oil. is there any problem changing to fully synthetic oil?

Go for a full synthetic Motul 7100 10w40 or 10w50.

you can read reviews here Amazon.in:Customer Reviews: Motul 7100 4T 10W50 Fully Synthetic Petrol Engine Oil for Bikes (1 L)

I hear that even Shell oils are good that way.

How do you know its decreasing? Did you keep the bike on center stand before looking at the oil level in the small window on the right side BEFORE and AFTER your apparent oil decrease issue? If not then keep your bike on the center stand, look at the oil level. It should be above the minimum mark. Ride for a few 100 kms more; then check the oil level again.

I have looked out at the issue, yes it is more than the minimum level but slowly decreasing from Full level.

Check whether its leaking, if not, then you are burning the oil. Either way take it to the SVC and report to them this issue immediately. And be very firm and stern about this so that they dont take it lightly. If any parts have to be repaired or replaced it will be covered under warranty.
