These are my experiences with my gixxer 😊

Had similar thoughts. It's under removable seat.

note* this is not Gixxer SF This is Gixxer SF FI.
I got mine done at said interval. At 500km on odo. Just keep getting free services done on time. Not necessarily by KMS.
This is time period when engine components will adjust among themselves to move more freely. You'll feel smoother engine and gearbox after first service. Keep shifting at proper rev limits.
Short note-Fi's acceleration is awesome and also it's ability to turn on engine in single press of button even after months of storage.
      Cheers!

I don't rmbr whether I had mentioned that my SF was in the showroom for a week. . Anyways here's the UPDATE:
So my 3000 km old bike was going smoothly, no issues, then all of a sudden my friend noticed very faint white smoke while I started my bike.. took it immediately to service centre, he said the bike is in critical condition, need to keep it in the showroom. So went back home, fully shattered, wondering how a 4 month old bike developed these problems. Long story short, everyday used to call them and asked updates. Basically, it was a manufacturing defect (has to be, coz I didn't do anything to screw it up) . . The inlet valve had some issue, it was causing the oil to leak into the combustion chamber (I don't know how oil leaks from inlet valve, but didn't bother asking for explanation). . So they replaced most of the engine cylinder components, under warranty. . So didn't have to pay anything (that's why I say, Megavath Suzuki service centre in Ganganagar, for the Bangaloreans, is quite good). . Now, I have a 4 month old 3000 km run bike, with a brand new engine (all the critical components are new, valve stems, piston rings, gaskets etc.). So need to do run in again! :/ Well I don't mind now, coz it's butter smooth now, and the pickup has increased somehow.
So this is a reminder post, make sure you check your exhaust to see if slight white smoke is coming, could mean trouble. Luckily my friend noticed it, else I would have continued riding. . Apparantly the oil was draining very fast. . Would have seized the engine! I was lucky.. hope this post helps. Cheers.

Can anybody comment on how to change the monoshock suspension and which out of the 7 settings are most comfortable for you?

Yesterday drove a New Gixxer SF Fi version and a Gixxer normal version back to back. Gear shifts were harder than my current bike (P200NS). Is this how all Gixxers are ?? Will the gear shifts get easier after some time ? I'm in search of another bike. That's why TDed it.

Yes. Initially the gear shifts are very hard. But they will become softer and accurate after the first service.

Well I had this doubt coz one of the bikes I drove was 7 Months old while other was brand new and both had almost similar hardness.

I don't know about the P200NS but gixxer's gear shifts were a bit harder than the as150. And many of my friends have said the same comparing other bikes too. Gixxer's shifts are harder than other bikes. But that hardness makes it precise in the long run. Their aren't any false neutrals either.

There comes a special tool for the job. The 7 step adjustable shock in gixxer is by default set at 4. Which is the medium setting. If you go lower i.e to 1,2,3 it becomes softer. And the higher means harder. You have to try the settings for yourself to know which setting suits you best without affecting the handling.

Mine came with the setting in the 2nd notch, ie very soft. It feels smooth on bumps and I don't mind it becoming harder.

Mine is at 4 and I feel it's the perfect balance between comfort and riding dynamics.

Any idea what the name of the tool is? I would like to pick one up.
