From where ? Let us know the shop.Originally posted by MidnightEvil Parth View PostI did the same customisation full foam stuffed for ₹400. But then, I also use a Fego float air seat on long rides.
The new seat is cut out from an activa seat and not a soft spongy foam that is usually used for the price you quoted here in andheri, mumbai.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Hi,
I am facing strange issue with gear indicator in instrument cluster, the thing is 1st gear does not get indicated after engine heats up and all other gears and neutral gets indicated correctly, at the start of the ride that is on cold engine 1st gear gets indicated but after some time of travel it just doesn't get shown what could be the reason, anyone faced this kind of problem and got resolved?

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
This might be an issue with the 'air bolts' (a term used by one of the folks at one of the SVCs I visited here in BLR) on the crankcase.Originally posted by kuulbhaskar View PostI'm seeing a strange problem when i start my bike after one or two days as mine being the FI model the self refuses to start the engine instant as it used to be. Though finally it starts after few tries .
In my case (Carburetted version), my bike used to keep shutting off at idle on cold starts but once the engine was warm it'd idle endlessly without issues. At the SVC I was told that when they go loose, they let air in and that messes with the combustion process. Didn't really make sense to me considering the combustion happens in the combustion chamber (cylinder) and the bolts were in the crankcase area. But they did rectify it during the service and my bike was fine for 3 weeks after which the issue returned. Will have to take it to the SVC again, but have been postponing it for almost a month now. These aren't issues, these are minor design flaws and I think owners can second the footpegs and the side stand issue. Owners can chime in here.Originally posted by Aamod Revz View PostPOST MOVED AND MERGED

55 to 60k would be a good ballpark to begin with.Originally posted by Tloren View PostHey Folks,
For about how much could I sell my 2015 Gixxer SF (black) that's run 15,000 kms?
PS: single owner, no accidents, serviced every 3 months.
Thanks.
Cheers!

The girl said, 'NO!'

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
No need to go 7k rpm, just stick around 5- 6K RPMs that will be more than enough !!Originally posted by narik007 View PostHi All,
This is my first post here, pardon me for any mistakes or silly queries which i may ask.
This query is about break in. i have bot the gixxer sf fi ABS variant last month and completed first 800 km with 4500 rpm limit and also first service done. in this 800 km i tried to vary the rpm and reach 4500 rpm then change gear or some time reach 4500 rpm and release throttle so i slow down to may be 3000 rpm and accelerate again this i was doing as the traffic permits. i tried acceleration and deceleration in each gear.
now my question is for next 800 km, should i try to accelerate to 7500 rpm and then change gear? because i can try that in 1-2-3 gears but it will be hard to do it in 4th and 5th gears as i mostly drive in city i might not see a stretch or safe to do that, will that effect the bike in any way or is it just fine to vary rpm and stay in limit is ok, say i might not even touch 7500 rpm at all is fine?Last edited by Aswinlogi; 11-11-2018, 10:13 PM.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Hi All,
Please visit the link to see the results of using Osram Silverstar as a headlamp for Gixxer SF. I have done 2 things to get this result.
1) changed the position of reflector dome to little downward
2) Changed stock bulb with Osram Silverstar.
If you really are fed up of your Gixxer lights and don't want to waste money or blind oncoming traffic with LEDs, this light is real good.
