Completed 37000 km in 26 months.
    Changes till now
Front brake - twice. Total 700rs.
Rear brake once. 2000rs(it's cheaper now)
Rear tyre - changed at 36000km. Cost =3000rs.
    Headlamp changed once. 80rs.
    Front sprocket changed once~100rs.
Air and oil filters - every 6 months.
Engine oil - I use the cheapest available(less than 200rs), just to test. No difference in performance, according to me.

I purchased my Gixxer SF FI with ABS a month ago. 1500 km completed. I feel the suspension is to stiff. I thought it is normal for few days. But still it feels stiff. I was thinking of adjusting it to the city ride. I read that this model has 7 steps. Can anyone guide me how to change the setting to the softer side? What are the precautions to take while changing so it won’t damage.

The rear suspension has only Preload option. If you want a softer suspension, you have to change the spring to a softer one.

          Hello guys,
I've finally got the Gixxer SF ABS after a lot of speculation and thorough consideration. I was supposed to wait for the 2019 edition since there will be a major design upgrade. But I learned that it would be just that; a major "design" upgrade. The engine more or less would remain the same with maybe a little bump in power (to compete with the R15) and that wouldn't have justified the little inflated price (for me). I got a sweet deal on this bad boy since they have to finish stocks before they start 2019 production. And the 2019 bikes would be available after March (as per the manager) and I've been waiting since Aug, couldn't wait any longer.
I've always had my heart set on the SF although I did lean towards the RTR 200 a fair bit. I went with my heart and chose the SF.
Thanks to all who helped me along the way in selecting this beautiful bike.
I've already clocked 300kms the first 100 of which were within 24hrs of me laying my hands on it.
It feels a little rough, grunty, with a little bit of heating in bumper to bumper traffic which goes away as soon as the bike starts moving, the gear shifts are a little finicky but I'm guessing its all part of the run-in period and would go away after the 1st service. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Since it is a pure black model I'm looking into paint protection or anything that can help retain the shine and protect the color, if anyone could help me with that ( I stay in Bombay if that helps)

If anyone would like to give other tips of maintaining the bike or things that I should keep in mind; would be highly appreciated. Also if there's any SF WhatsApp/Telegram group that I could join, I'd like to be added.

I'm also looking for gears since I'm super concerned with safety; I've put the thread in the riding gear section but if anyone of you have any suggestion can help me here too.Click image for larger version

I had the same confusion b/w SF and 200 4V and went with my heart towards the SF this August. Yes, the gearshifts are a little loud (especially the downshifts) and they won't go away. Bit it's not a big deal.

I was hoping there would be a power bump in the Fi version but there wasn't. And now when I bought one, they are increasing the power?[emoji22] I think it would be better if they launch the GSX 150R to rival R15 (if they wanna rival V3). But if they're serious about it, race tuning the 155cc gixxer engine would make atleast 20 bhp (my guess cuz the 147cc GSX-R engine produces almost 19bhp). And an LED headlight would be welcome too[emoji4]

Suzuki service centers in Kolkata are just awful. But you may visit Animesh Suzuki Kamarhati as they have bring a good technician Named Dharmendra Jena.

Is it ok if the front tyre is changed to a radial one?

                        Both tyres are already radial.

Isn't Zapper fx the front stock tyre? It's on my bike and the manual...

In that case, it's not radial. I checked the tyre and I didn't see the R (radial) with the sizeClick image for larger version
