If I may ask why?Originally posted by MotoBlizzard View PostWait and see if the new model comes.
My recommendation would be to stay away from Suzuki.
Because my biggest concern is vibrations and the Japanese are the only one who make engines (single cylinder) which vibrate much lesser (as all single cylinder engines will vibrate) compared to their Indian counterparts.
Honda has nothing in the faired department as of now.
If the 150r were available that would've been my 2nd choice.
Only Suzuki has the SF ( a faired motorcycle) thus the preference.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
I did read it and that's the first thing I checked when I went for a TD. But currently SF is the only one which checks most boxes on my list of having a Full faired bike with touring capabilities and a comfortable seating position.Originally posted by MotoBlizzard View PostSF has alignment issues which if you red through this thread you might have seen
Honda CBR 150R would've been the only other bike which would've been my preference if it were available.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Bro you can go for Gixxer SF , its a nice machineOriginally posted by Purnakalik View PostI have a soft spot for Full faired bikes and currently the SF is what appeals to me the most. There are no other full faired bikes in this segment that I like. There's R15 V3 but that's super sporty and I don't like that. The pulsar RS 200 is a more comfortable option but the crazy vibrations are a turn-off for me. There was the CBR 150r but that's discontinued for now, no official word on when it's coming back. So currently there are no bikes in the 2nd or 3rd place.
And yes I don't want to hate making that decision if a newer model comes next year and that's why I'm utterly perplexed.
I have my heart on the RTR 2004V (although naked, it's a beautiful machine) but that also has a lot of vibrations so that's a deal breaker.
250 launch will take time so if you can wait for almost an year its worth waiting but if you don't have enough time i would suggest to go for it, I rode RTR for more than an year that too is nice machine in terms of power when you ride gixxer and RTR back to back you will feel the diff of Indian and Japanese engine.
Currently I own Gixxer SF ABS version after lots of research I finally made decision to buy it and its making me happy.
the only problem i see with gixxer is the headlight which you can upgrade later

Thanks for the suggestion I too feel the same for the SF but I think I should wait for the upgraded variant to come out.
How was your experience with the RTR? Are the claims of vibrations correct? And how was the FE and maintenance?

About RTR200 4V you will never feel short of power but in vibration its just RTR it vibrate but lesser than 180.Originally posted by Purnakalik View PostHey Neeraj,

I personally got FE of 35-38, in mountain i got FE of 30
the major issue i faced and no service center resolved even after complaining many times is every morning i had to start the bike after engaging the choke even in summers also
Second is within an year i had to change the Air filter, and in the same road my friend drove avenger he got no problem
Bike feel slightly heavy from right side, the stock tyre skid a lot
Rest of the electronics are good and i faced no issue, initially it has false neutral issue which automatically gone post 3000KMS
Seat is not comfortable for pillion- no way but power and pick up are on higher note which was impressive.
Post 100KM/H it takes time to touch 120 , I touched max 125 and I would suggest don't go beyond this on RTR200, I have seen people touching 130 mark also but thats again putting pressure on 200cc motor and finally its RTR not KTM in terms of speed

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Hi guys. I have recently changed the headlight of my two year old sf. I opted for CYT 40W led bulb. The light is good except for high beam throw which is not that good(not long enough) . But overall there is much better improved lighting at night. I'm satisfied.

When in gear 1 and 2 sometime it shows Neutral light, so when you release the clutch thinking you are in Neutral it gives you jerk
Netral light is the only option to know your bike is actually ready to stop or not

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Does the gear indicator "say N" when the light is Green? If not, then you are not in Neutral. The indicator is more sensitive than the light.Originally posted by Neerajvayu View PostLet me write diffrently
