Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
I'm disappointed with the 2019 version. I was expecting a bump in power. They should've done it atleast to compensate with the increased weight. But they decreased the power, probably to maintain the current mileage. That too in a market where perfomance bikes have good sales.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
I have a issue with my shaft of my SF. I provided all my documents of extended warranty to the showroom people. Now they say they have rejected it because I have not made a servicing with them after the first 10 services.
I made all my mandatory services of my bike 4 free and 4 paid and the last bonus and along with it two more services with them only. But in the middle i gave two services outside. Now they say that particular reason and make me pay for 6000 rupees. It was clearly said that i need to make only the mandatory services on time and with them to make the warranty valid or else it will be invalidated.
Can someone please help me on this and tell me whats the correct procedure.?

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Any bike will have a stipulated time-frame/date from the company which provides warranty. Some companies provide Extended warranty by charging a premium amount. Normally it should be something like "Avail this service within XXXX kms or before XX/XX/XXXX date or XXX days, whichever is earlier". Read your clauses in your extended warranty and check if all your services are within the regulated limits by the company. If done right, show them the records available in your service book and ask them to re-check with their database. If everything looks good and if they still deny warranty, then you can take things forward depending on your situation.Originally posted by Prahasitv View PostI have a issue with my shaft of my SF. P.S - The two times you gave servicing outside, was it done properly by the mechanic? And was it done in your presence? Did you change all the necessary consumables/spares as per your periodic servicing requirements?Last edited by Ashwiin Napster; 05-24-2019, 12:34 AM.Honda Dio [2010 - 2011]

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
It was in the mentioned time limits and the kilometers, the only reason they say rejection was that I didnt get it serviced with them for those two times. It was only written that i need to get all the mandatory services to be done to avail the extended warranty and nothing was mentioned that i need to get it done every time with them.Originally posted by Ashwiin Napster View PostAny bike will have a stipulated time-frame/date from the company which provides warranty. Yes my outside servicing is done is my presence with all the necessary changes. The only reason to give outside for is because the showroom people are charging me more every time during the paid servicing. I gave my bike to showroom for servicing 13 times and then 2 times outside and last time in April back in showroom as i wanted to check everything was correct or wrong. They said everything was fine when I gave them for servicing in April. After a month this is what happened.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
When your bike is under a company's warranty, the warranty will get void if you give the bike for servicing outside. This holds true with all the companies on all range of products. In your case, if all the periodic mandatory services were done completely within that period of Extended Warranty, how do you still have Extended warranty running on your bike?Originally posted by Prahasitv View PostIt was in the mentioned time limits and the kilometers, the only reason they say rejection was that I didnt get it serviced with them for those two times. Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
This is what has been written on the extended warranty. The extended warranty holds for years. Where as the periodic mandatory services gets completed within 2 years.Originally posted by Ashwiin Napster View PostWhen your bike is under a company's warranty, the warranty will get void if you give the bike for servicing outside. Basically, extended warranty comes up after normal warranty is over. Extended warranty will have period of certain years and/or number of kilometers. If you surpass the kilometers within the actual time-frame of the Extended warranty, your bike will be out of Warranty. Call up customer care and ask what is the time-frame and until what kilometers the Extended warranty covers for your bike. Tell them your situation and get an explanation. With that, you will have more clarity on what step to take next

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Hi Everyone ,
I own a gixxer sf 2017 model , which has not been ridden too much as I am still in my 17k kms .
I faced a lot of issues with it .
The major thing which I am facing now is , the punch/push whatever you say , I get while riding above 80kmph .
These punches are really disturbing and I am not able to figure out the actual problem .
Since then I have had 3 bike services , but till now this has not gone .
Also , I have left taking my bike to more than 60-70 kmph now .
I am kind of fed up with this bike now , as I am never getting an economical mileage .(Always between 30 -35kmpl)
Also , the throttle response now has become too much bad as after giving the throttle also I am not getting enough power from the bike .
Please , suggest me what to do .
I stay in bangalore , and please if some one knows a good mechanic from Bangalore please suggest me .
Thanks,
Vivek

Extended warranty begins after the standard 2 years warranty expires.Originally posted by Prahasitv View PostI have a issue with my shaft of my SF. Extended Warranty gives you 3 years of additional 3rd party warranty (its not actually provided by Suzuki but by a 3rd party that is partnered with Suzuki)
In order to maintain validity of Standard Warranty you need to get your bike serviced at an Authorized SVC which includes 4 free + 4 paid + 1 bonus = 9 services total.
In order to maintain validity of Extended Warranty you need to get your bike serviced at an Authorized SVC which includes 12 paid services (distributed as 4 services per year or 3000kms apart or 3months apart)
Out of the 12 services required by the Extended Warranty, if you missed a single service or got service done at a Non-Authorized SVC, you warranty is Null and Void. For My Gixxer Related videos: Click HERE

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
There's a garage called Vinayak Motors or something in Marathahalli, I usually go there to service my bike. The guy is good and he can maybe help you out.Originally posted by vnishant1 View PostHi Everyone ,
