Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
I've used Motul 5100 on my R15 V2. Better oil when compared with Yamalube that Yamaha provides us with. Bike stays smooth for a longer time.Originally posted by kuulbhaskar View PostYes its on my wishlist but its almost same dealer price i get here which is Rs 480. Yamaha YZF R15 V2 [2011 - Present]
Yamaha YZF R3 [2016 - Present]
What's next? :)

There's not much difference. It lasts a little longer than similar oils.Originally posted by kuulbhaskar View PostYes its on my wishlist but its almost same dealer price i get here which is Rs 480. Btw did anyone here in xbhp tried this 5100 ?
On my FZ25 it reduces the rattle when compared to Yamalube. It might be placebo though, as Yamalube is mostly rebranded Motul.Last edited by Shashank K R; 04-23-2019, 01:58 AM.

I've ridden other gixxers and the only vibration I felt was from the seat after 8k rpm[emoji28]Originally posted by #bpk View PostEvery single cylinder bike will have vibes post 6k rpm! In R 15 V3 @ 6k rpm whole seat and bars vibrates [emoji23][emoji23]

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
According to you , what's vibrations? Different people have different sensitivity towards vibes, many people say that fz 150 is the smoothest Japanese street bike, but i find vibes in that too! Cause i am super sensitive towards it. If vibes in your gixxer is too much then change oil , check condition of your chain and sprockets. Gixxer engine consumes oil and faces engine seizures ,check that too!Originally posted by Aamod Revz View PostI've ridden other gixxers and the only vibration I felt was from the seat after 8k rpm[emoji28]

Wow! In just 2 minutes your bike got normal. Are you hiding something boy! Protective about Suzuki eh .... [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]Originally posted by Aamod Revz View PostWell, my bike is fine now. I was getting vibrations from the tank after 6k rpm. But that was before 3rd service.

The service was a month ago. Ithe vibes must've been due to the bad oil. I just wanted to know if it was a common problem.Originally posted by #bpk View PostWow! In just 2 minutes your bike got normal. Are you hiding something boy! Protective about Suzuki eh .... [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
I guess vigorous shaking of the tank and footpegs can be called vibrations[emoji28]. The gixxer is one of the smoothest 150cc bikes in the country. So, getting vibes on my bike at such low RPMs while they're absent on my friend's 2015 model made me doubt the refinement of the new version.Originally posted by #bpk View PostAccording to you , what's vibrations?
