Thank you for sharing your mod with us buddy.

But regarding the bulb type, I don’t think there is a big difference in dip and high beams. Of course there is the spot brightness but it doesn’t seems to be illuminating the road further ahead than dip beam covering area. If you could’ve gone with the bulb has a small reflector thing might’ve given you good result.

Actually i think i have to adjust the headlight dome to get the full result. As a test the mechanic adjusted it to make it spot bim light otherwise it would blind the incoming vehicle or person but its enough atleast better than the stock
And as per small led i didn't knew these unparalleled led setup
And yes the high beam is not much but enough to let know the front vehicle for pass.

Anyway.. please do let us know about your experience on the road. I had this same setup for discover 135 older model which was powered by Maginto current. Results were average since bulb doesn’t get full juice like in a DC system. The biggest problem to me was the insufficient head light throw.

I will try LED as soon as finished my warranty but it’ll take some time.

          Currently I am getting 37Kmph.

The mileage trend is declining in every service
          Before 1st service(during breaking): 52Kmpl
          After 1st service : 43-45 kmph
          After 2nd service : 37kmph.

I am real scared for mileage after 3rd service if the same trend follows.

I am really not expecting 50-55kmpl as other people claims.
But I am expecting atlast 45kmpl.
I never got more than 40 (more like 33-35). But I ride between 70-90 in city and 100 plus on highways.my revs are almost always in the 6000 plus range. I also prefer higher revs for better traction and engine braking. So I'm fine with this efficiency figure.
If you want more, ride in a way that your engine isn't revving hard (you can still do high speeds).

Btw, I used to get similar efficiency on my FZ and CBZ. So it has probably a lot to do with riding style.

I told them it's within the warranty and the manager asked that let the work be done then i will see to it !!

The work is not started and I'm in doubt should i keep it or not ?
If the sound is from the tappets
and if you're getting the valve clearance adjusted, make sure that its set to correct specs using a feeler gauge.

(Note:Engine must be cold for adjusting the valves) So it should'nt be taking more than a day!

And also you don't have to pay as it is part of general servicing.

If you have FI model then maintain at least 2 litres of petrol !!

By the way i have also finished 3rd service just last month and my mileage is constant 45km in city and 50-52km at highway !!
              Mine is FI model !!
Mine is also FI model (BS4).
Yes I calculate mileage by full tank method.

I went to showroom for the same so they told as it is FI model so they won't be able to check themselves by using 100ml oil (their method) and also as it doesn't have carburettor so they can't tune it also.

One surprising statement I go rom mechanic is "As it is FI so it will get less uel efficiency then carburettor version".

As you can see from the image there is a tiny hole from where the air is leaking which I have checked. Should I get it fixed by that puncture kit by piercing it and making big hole OR any sort of glue, paste would seal it ? Because the hole is too tiny ! Thanks in advance[emoji5]

Well as i promised here are some snaps of my newest addition to the family. I collected this yesterday. This is Suzuki Gixxer SF ABS FI version.

I was really dissapointed with my country's HOD technical staff. They revved hard my motorcycle and handle new bikes very irresponsibly by sudden RPM hikes, engine cutoffs etc. They never setup my RPM indicator to 4500, i did it myself.

Anyway they recommend Caltex 10W40 in owners manual as the recommended engine oil (don't forget i'm living in Sri Lanka
) but SA said i'm more than welcome to provide an alternative engine oil on service. I asked about getting a paid oil change at 200-250km-ish to flush out worn engine parts but the sales guy strongly advised not to do this and wait for my 1st service. Bike warranty is bat shit. I only get covered for engine and may be RIMS (I assume).

Bike is really smooth and pleasure to ride. As many people had said, it is very hard to keep my speed under 40 KMh.
However I noticed rear disk break is at very low performance. I could completely stop the bike at slow speeds (20-30) using rear brakes. I think this might get over after some time like seasoning the caliper and disk. Front break works as expected. Lush breaks with the support of ABS.

Filled my petrol tank with Octane 95 grade and recorded 12.103 ltr up to brim.

I'll share my experiences with you guys from time to time. Wish you all a very safe ride. Cheers..!!

Congratulations on your new ride brother! 😁🎉
You are definitely going to enjoy riding and yes it is really difficult to keep the bike under 4500 rpm! 😅
Fortunately for me, my break in period is almost over but Riding below 4500 rpm in the city isn't so bad either. "Non Blue" Gixxer SFs are very rare in my city so people have that surprised look while checking out the bike. 😁
Anyways! Have fun and ride safe. 😊

                          Congratz on your new bike!

128rupees per liter? WTF?! What company is that? Also you over filled by 103ml possibly more depending on how much fuel was already in the tank or the system. The fuel nozzle sits on a stopper inside the tank towards teh surface. Once the fuel reaches the tip portion of the nozzle, it automatically shuts off. At this point you should just remove the nozzle and not try to fill more as some petrol fillers try to do.

You are not supposed to use rear brakes at speeds above 30kmh. Look up articles on when to use rear brakes. And yes brake pads need to bed-in. That will happen gradually.

If they revved your bike hard, you should have declined the bike on the spot. But still, if they did that for a short duration then its fine. Paid oil change at 100kms, 200 is too long if you are getting an oil change done eitherway. Sales guy is a sales guy for a reason.

As for warranty what else were you expecting? It covers the engine components, electricals and the rims. Battery has its own separate warranty. Its a warranty not an insurance.

Also take a snapshot of the page in your owners manual that recommends the usage of that specific oil and post it.

                          Happy mile crunching!

Well LKR 128 is the gov issued petrol station price bro. That is equivalent to INR 52.87/= . Petrol station guy may be overfilled this. He left a just enough space to fit the tank cap without spilling the gasoline. As i said earlier, customer are not to touch with fuel pump bro. They have workman for it. We only need to say the how much fuel we need and that's it.

About the revving hard thing, I was in the office area where i heard revving a new bike and driving it to wash area. Just hearing it i though if this is my bike then it would be really hurtful to me. Later I saw it is the same bike coming after the washing bay and parking on the same place. I was inside of a building when this happened. Saw this through a glass.

About the warranty thing, i'll upload the document to here. There is no warranty for batteries, electricals but just only for gaskets and the engine. Will post a snap on the manual. I didn't really checked it. SA said this to my face as i was inquiring about the custom oil change request. So do you think changing the oil and the filter around 300KM is good or just wait till the 1st service? Waiting for your recommendation please @MotoBlizzard.

Looked at my Owners manual now. It was little wet but no pages were harmed. They didn't redact anything on the manual like Bajaj would do in my country. Here is a snap of the warranty mate. Look how stupid this is.
