That will work but he has paid for extended warranty - let them change the magneto.

I have been reading about this alignment issue from a few pages ago. I can see the rear misaligned in the picture, does anyone have a picture for the front as well?

Front fairing/Brace misalignment. The thread is passing along the Center of the (1)BACKBONE of the Chassis (The tubular part of the frame on which the Tank rests). The thread is extended upto and beyond teh Windshield. If you pay attention, you can see that the word (2)SUZUKI on the display console is not Centered. You can also see that the thread does not intersect the windshield at the (3)PEAK. This is the 2nd misalignment in addition to the Swingarm misalignment that I mentioned before. Please check whether your bike has this issue or not.

What's funny is that the rear is misaligned even on their official images, if you go to the 360 degree view on the Gixxer SF page

Rotate it and look at the tail end, that looks a bit misaligned as well.

I don't know how this issue got past QA/QC but now I'm not sure if I should go for the bike.

It doesn't affect the stability of the bike though. It doesn't pull to one side or anything.

The Gixxer does have its fair share of problems, right from leaking stator wire boot, poorly designed rear seat and those awfully cramping rear foot rests to misalignment issues and what not. Though the former issues are of significance, the alignment issues aren't something to be extremely broody about. Most bikes have mild misalignment, and I've explained a few pages back why misalignment happens. Sometimes, the font, the visor/windshield the steering stem may not be perfectly aligned and it doesn't mean an inherent problem per se.

Though, it does sting to know that some petty issues are a real pain in the derriere, as long as it doesn't affect the handling and as long as it doesn't affect the tire and chain wear negatively, there's absolutely nothing to worry about.

              Cheers!

I'll just have to do PDI and thoroughly check the unit they're getting to see if I like it. A -little- misalignment is fine with me but if it's as much as Motoblizzard's bike tail then I'll have to look at other options... Which I honestly don't want to because I really liked how the naked version I test rode felt and like the SF's look

According to my view, tyre s actually getting worn out unevenly. Its very difficult to see in a photo but its there.
Yes, you are correct. They are not a big deal since they are not causing any technical problems on the road. The ride-ability is not affected by those 2 misalignments somehow. BUT whenever you look at the bike, it screams out the misalignments. I could be anal about it, but so be it.

A straight pipe with a bend in it wouldnt be called a straight pipe anymore would it be?

Any recommendations for a good mechanic in Bangalore? Need to make a few mods such as changing the horn, headlight, adding 2 projectors and a few minor upgrades.

Well, there you go. Perhaps, we can call it a bend pipe, now does that sound analogous.

                      Cheers!

Friends, I recently went to enquire about 35w led bulb for gixxer. But I am unable to find the same watt bulb. Only 40w led bulb with a fan like component is available and they are quoting 1300 for the bulb. Is it OK to change the stock bulb with 40w led bulb. Will it affect the battery. BTW, I own a 2016 gixxer sf which is almost 2 years old. Thanks in advance.

You can try banggood or aliexpress there good amount of led headlight available in variety. Personally I'm using the Night eye led 36w 4500lumens it costed me Rs 1800 a pair.So its damn cheap and have been using it for 3 continuous months without any issues. You can check my earlier posts for lighting and review of led.
40w led wont affect battery to a large extend but as your gixxy is 2years old i suppose you are running the same old battery which may drain your bike's battery to some extent as per battery life.
