Any DIY for it will be very useful as SVC are guys are tightening it only.
Use a washer. Rub it on the ground (or sandpaper) on both sides and fit it in.

        Metal, of course!
Use a combination of split and flat washers on each side.

Please follow this 101 basic rules to help your bike run a long life.
          1. Don't go above the specified speed and RPM as said in the Service book .
          2. In the 1st service please/request the service manager - not the service guy to do this following things.
          a. Engine oil change (normal but should be provided in actual quantity ) in your case it should be 800 to 900 ml
          b. Spark plug clean - imp.
          c. Air filter clean and check - don't let any1 pour oil in your AF as it will attract more dust than normal.
          d. Disk brake both(if) clean.
          e. Drive chain tight - check for alingment(loose or tight) - clean and grease - ask them to clean first so the grease/lube can be done easily.
          f. Battery check - imp
          g. Engine oil filter change - must (this are not honda or hero bikes where there is no oil filter except CBRs).
          h. Tyre pressure check .

NEVER ALLOW ANY TECHNICIAN TOUCH YOUR FI/CARB FUEL RATIO OR THE RPM NEEDLE - THEY WILL SCREW IT AND YOU WILL HAVE TO FACE PROBLEMS JUST LIKE THE HORNET 160R USERS.

Dude i tripped my bike today broke the right indicator a minor scratch also but lemme tell u the whole stickering has to be purchased by you (Cost will be around 2500 rs ~). So i left the thought of changing the sticker. Overall cost 250 rs for changing right side indicator.
Even got the RVM tightened up hard so that they can be adjusted only after stopping and doing it with both hands. As i do not adjust them much.

2500? Where did you pull that number from? For 2600 you get replacement fairing for both the sides. The RVM hinge is not supposed to be tightened that hard, it comes loose from the factory for a reason, do you know why? Imagine what will happen to the motorcycle if something hits the RVM and the RVM is not able to swivel freely.

Nobody here has a stock of spare set of the SP edition stickers. And how will anyone know whether an SVC will have spare sticker sets? So your best bet is to go to your preferred SVC and ask them how much will a set of stickers cost or how much will a one sided sticker cost.

Anyway, my bike is new and under run-in, so the mileage will be less.

A squid crashed into me 2 days ago (Sunday evening). He decided to cross the divider and venture into the oncoming lane just to overtake a car or two in his lane. The maniac crossed through a gap in the divider like racers ride onto the track from a pit-lane. There was a car to my left and the divider to his left, hence none of us could avoid the collision. And what's worse? He loses control and accelerated right into me. I was at 60kmph when I saw him and braked, when I hit him I was doing around 40kmph, he was probably doing 50-60kmph. Luckily, apart from a little cut on my elbow and a hit to the left chest near (and including) the left collar-bone, I was unharmed. He fell with the bike after the impact and fractured his left leg.

Behold, my bike that was just 10 days old when the incident occurred! That's the squid's CB Twister on the right. Barely any damage taken!

Took the bike to the service center the next day to get a lovely quote of 42k INR for the repair job.

Thankfully, I have insurance and the number arrived on Sunday itself. Since Sunday was a half-day for the showroom peeps they asked me to visit on Monday for the number-plate installation but well, this just had to happen!

His friends visited me and pleaded that I claim insurance because his hospital bills will cost about 1 lac INR. God knows what's so expensive in a leg fracture, I'm visiting the hospital to pay that little screw-up a visit and check how genuine this expense is with the doctor there.

They said they'll pay the remaining amount that the insurance company does not admit. Thanks to this little prick, the resale value of my bike will also take a good hit of about 15k INR, which I will try to extract from him. Also, since my bike won't be home for a good 12-15 days, I have to get beaten up in the Mumbai locals and Thane buses. I hate how these morons can put people through inconveniences just because they choose to break the law.

So anyway, out of sheer frustration, cheers to the first SP Edition Gixxer SF crash on xBhp!

Glad to see you are okay! that looks horrendous.

Also, i noticed a lot of extra parts on that list that dont seem to require changing.

like : tree, front LH and RH fork assembly,

                          Disk assembly, etc.

But since its 10 days old, Its a good idea to have it all changed. I am surprised how cool you are.

You might have insurance but your premium and credibility will take a huge hit if they pay out. Make the f**cker pay as much as he can. If it were me, i would lodge a complaint immediately. Its totally his fault and he owes you a new bike.

Hey man. That's real tough luck. Good that you seem to have sort of accepted what happened. Like most said, I'd be in utter denial at this point. I had a similar experience when my RTR was new. I had literally just crossed the run in period on my bike(I think my bike was 10 days old too at the time, not sure) and a lady quid with her friend on board her scooty decided it was a good idea to take a sudden turn with no headlights on or indicators on. Never saw them coming because there was a big pick-up truck right next to me. We crashed and my new baby took all the damage in the accident. Similar damage to yours - headlight busted, bikini fairings busted, front fork busted, front disk busted and a few more on that list. I was still a student at the time and I had my internals on the very next day. I wasn't entirely to blame in the situation, but I could have prevented it if I was paying more attention to the road. Thankfully I had a helmet on, but nothing else was covered. My palms were bruised and I hurt my ankle when I flew clean off my bike(my bike T-bone'd the lady squid's scooty). I won't lie, I was at about 50kmph, which my mom thought was too fast.

Point being - my bike sort of became handicapped that day. After incurring a cost of 23k(only 13k covered in insurance) and having a plethora of parts replaced on my bike, she was never the same again. The only thing right about her was her engine. Everything else took a beating and the SVC guys simply couldn't fix her back up. The ABS never worked the same again, my handlebars always had problems and rear wheel fishtailing was something I couldn't fix even till the day I sold her off. If I were you, I wouldn't expect the bike to be the same ever again. The biggest mistake I feel I made was not being there when the bike was being fixed or asking for updates on it. You should keep a track and demand that they turn over every single part they've replaced on your bike. Try to be there for the major repair work and stuff.

I hope you have a better experience than I did. It's sad to see irresponsible people ruining stuff like this.
