I've moved from Goa to Bangalore and would be great to connect with other GS150R owners here. PM me . First thing I'd like to know which are good service centers here (Simultaneously searching this thread). I usually do most services on my own but would be good to know anyway.

Nice Initiative Kamalesh!

But as much as i would like to see an advanced version of our GS, from sales point of view, i dont know if it would reach the numbers that suzuki's scooters or gixxers have reached. In all probability it could become another GS150R, and suzuki may not want that, at least not at this time.

Gs150r the lengthy bike with more weight is not the need of this current gen

But a GS with 350cc engine with monoshocks and advanced futures will do the job but that should look like a bigger cousin to gixxer so the apt name if Suzuki have to give is Suzuki gixxer 350 but not GS 150 R

I do not think Suzuki will make gs150r again in any cc

Hi there! rsk kelkar, i am from bangalore as well and where are you located at bangalore? It will be easy for me to tell by your place.
And needed a help from you guys if anyone has a SUZUKI GS150R service manual it would be a great help for me as i have purchased the bike 2nd hand its difficult to find any info from other guys, please let me know

Am not sure if one anyone has a service manual for gs150r, I'd say it will help us a lot, gs150r is a very well built bike, I love the 6th gear aspect and the butter smooth engine, am holding on to this bike for long...

I am in staying near Manyata Tech Park. You can find the service manual at this link. Request moderator to include this in OP. Someone on this forum was translating it to English don't remember who. I don't think its done yet. You can use google translate though.

Thanks for the info rsk, i will check out the link. Yeah even i had read that someone were finishing it almost 95% of translation it will be a great help if they post it.
U stay at manyatha tech park as far as my knowledge i dont know any service centers from that place as i stay near R.T nagar so value motors is near to me

Hi guys,

Background:
My GS150R cannot keep up with 1500 on the odometer at the start so I have to use the big screw to tune it till 1500 everyday but when it gets hot after a few Kms it goes up to 1800-2000 so again I bring it down to 1.5k while on my way.
Recently(20-30kms back) my tank was filled with water, got it cleaned but I don't know if he cleaned the carburettor (He said he just opened the carb and removed the water cos a week ago he had himself serviced it)
He also told me the drain hole is choked so water will flow inside anyhow and he put a big plastic tank cover

Issue:
The bike stalls while running. From 1500 it goes down slowly in a second or two and dies. It would start after a few forced self starts and after a lot of throttle it runs. Showed it to him and he said "Air ka problem hai" and did something on the right side near the fuel flow pipe.
It stalled again and he did the same shit and told me it won't happen again and if it did then open the tank lid and close it

A while ago it stalled again, I opened the lid for 2 seconds, closed it and bang it started fine.

Possible Reasons?
1. Is it the tank drainage hold that's building some kind of pressure and hence the stalling?
2. Is it my carburettor? The carb pin is put to place using a tiny plastic piece so it doesn't overflow (been there for 2 years)
3. Is it cos I keep my fuel flow to off mode and put in On cos of Point 2

Please help guys, I have my exams in a month and have to travel daily to the library on my bike.

Sorry for the late replies but XBHP keeps logging me out 99/100 times
Today I got lucky.

You can clear the tank breather hole/drain hole by inserting a electric wire or a string. I did the same and removed the rust and dirt in the tube. After removing the dirt, use some kerosene / WD 40 in the water drain hole to prevent future rusting.

Seems your carb is messed up. Remove it, clean it up and install it back and let us know if it worked out.

The abroad trip never happened. I got my bike into running conditions in 3 hours when my Unicorn failed one fine day. I have not covered more than 500KMs after removing from storage. But when it rains or when I want to go on a 100KM trip, its GS for me.
