At first, i thought it was legitimate, but it is not. Do not fall for it.

It does show up on the site but it cannot be availed.
Yes you are right, I have been calling the customer care and speaking to various reps. Extended warranty is not available for this bike as it falls under superbike category.

How reliable is the bike- expecting 50k or 60k without engine over haul? Considering that service done as per or earlier than schedule time/kms (which I did for all my bikes)

I owned an R15 V2 and it never gave me trouble, just that this blanket of safety is lost

The bike is very much reliable. Many have done 50k-60k-70k-80k on it and they haven't faced any issue regarding engine as such. If one takes care of the bike periodically, then nothing to worry. 50k-60k is just too less for an engine overhaul given it's maintained timely, IMHO.

I still own a R15 V2 which is 7.5 years old now. No issues faced on it whatsoever!

Many thanks for the reply to you and forum members.

I checked yesterday about service spares availability, svc manager said to place order for basic parts (like oil filter, air filter) 10 days in advance. Do you also face these issues? Or is it only Mumbai or dealer specific

No, the basic parts like filters, oils, liquids should all be available. If you come across any SVC that do not have these basic parts, raise a concern with Yamaha. Or better off, avoid that SVC. If they can't even stock basic parts, then i can presume that very less R3's get serviced in that particular SVC. Basic spares are easily available at Bengaluru.

Tip : Next time you're going to any SVC, give them a call the previous day and talk to the spares guys asking if the basic parts are available or not
Try to maintain a good rapport with the SVC manager and the technician who's working on your bike

Regarding panels, my bike had a crash and the damaged panels were ordered on 25/3/19 and will take at least a month to arrive. They said the panels have to be ordered from Indonesia

              Hope you are Alright.

The wait for parts is too long and is the only thing putting me off from taking the final step of buying. If they can’t stock oil filters here, fairings etc are a dream. What is the feedback of other members on the subject?

Hope you get your bike repaired and back running soon.

Forum members from Mumbai, which would be a good service center to approach for R3 servicing/relationship. I have checked with multiple svc and none are stocking R3 parts.

Wonderful bike, but disaster SCM [emoji29]

                    Thanks for the quick assistance.

Update: That was not the correct model number BTW.
The one that is a stock replacement is AP-BTX7L.

Guys, since my last query went unanswered. Here I am again. Is there a lockable side pannier (lovingly known as dikki) available for R3 that serves the purpose and at the same time doesn't spoil the looks of this machine? I have to travel three different companies with two laptops that aren't allowed inside each other's premises hence have to kept in the pannier.

Hope to get a response this time.

                            Hey Buddy,

Sorry that you didn't get any answer. One of the reason for that is, nobody that I am aware of has got such a lockable side pannier fitted on their R3, at least in India.
There is company called Hepco Becker who has such offerings for R3.
You will need to buy the metal mounting system and the panniers from them. They roughly cost about 30k as far as I am aware.

Hence most of us use Tail bags from Rynox, Vaiterra etc which turns out to be way more cost effective.

Just curious, is this the MY2019 model? If so, what was the on-road price? Asking because a friend was interested to buy one and he was denied saying that there are no stocks as of now.
