Even if you install radiator guard it will save it from small debris/stones and mud but you only have to stop SVC guys to stop them having pressure wash on radiator. Really surprised to see your radiator condition like this it's in awful state.

Here are some photos of my radiator after first service at Vinayak Yamaha.
I gave it for second service yesterday and I'm gonna compare if there are more bent fins.

Its ok.. I had same on my r15 . You wont get any issues because of that. Just make sure u don't do pressure wash on radiator in future

P.S. DO NOT quote the entire picture set. Edit them appropriately here on.

It kind of looks very bad in the photos but not so much in real life.

The problem here is that I go for service only in the afternoon.
The bike is serviced the next day.
Now I am not there when they handle the bike. So I almost do not have any control over how they handle the bike.
I just hope today they do not put their horrible "VInayak" sticker on the front forks.
They actually noted down the scratches on the bike prior to the service yesterday.

A question to all YAMAHA R3 owners:

Is the left swaying issue occurring for PUNE lot only? If so - is it a Dealer specific issue?

Please share your dealer names those who are facing this issue.

I am from Mumbai I donot have any such issues with my bike, even the hard shifting from neutral to 1st gear issue got solved with simple adjustment.

Are all leftward Swaying issue in Pune bikes?
Also why are you guys taking your hands off the bike?

Thats what we are trying to find out. I am guessing that the left swaying issue is happening due to improper handling/maintenance of the new bikes that are brought to outlets.
I also heard Monarch yamaha SVC has a reputation of mishandling the new models.

And even if we dont take our hands off from the bile - we feel a drag towards the left side riding the bike each time. So just wanted to check with other owners.
@Deathmate.Zed - Bro can you provide some info on this?

Luckily this issue is not present in my bike. I got it from Monarch and got the 1st svc done from there itself. Apart from some charges that i felt were taken extra, I was satisfied with the servicing. Just make sure you give it to the certified mech only(Ashish Moghe). I learnt it the hard way in the second service (done at kings yamaha Baner). The guy there didnt even know how to reset the oil indicator light. They just changed the engine oil, cleaned the air filter and gave the bike back.

Anyways about the swaying issue. Many of the other owners from Pune(almost all that I have met) faced the swaying issue. And none of them are satisfied with the resolution efforts from Yamaha. But all of these were from the initial lots of the R3. I never got to know of any swaying issue of any owners post my buy. I would suggest you thoroughly do the PDI before accepting delivery.

Do we have any other owner of YAMAHA R3 from PUNE in this forum to confirm the same?

                          Here is the approx details:

In Break in period (upto 1000 KM): avg 20 kmpl.
after 1st service: avg 23 kmpl
                          after 2nd service: 26 kmpl

These includes mix condition (city ride and highway).

But i have seen people getting 30+ kmpl avg on highway. They mostly maintained 100-110 km/h speed during the run.

I get 25 kmpl in city and 30 kmpl on highway with speeds of around 100-110 kmph.

                              Hi Guys,

I am new to this forum and need some help. I got my R3 last month. I am planning to do a leh trip in July. I was searching for some good saddle bags which can be mounted on my R3. Which saddle bags will fit(not touch the exhaust and tire)?
I saw some forum members have been touring extensively on R3. I was looking at Nomad v2.1 Saddlebags but still not sure about the bungee cord setup. Is there anything else which can be done to prevent the saddle bags from touching the rear wheel?

Air filter replacement in 1st service? Very strange.
