    PS: Dat Zauba data..
Thanks! and Zauba is a hobby but nowadays only run of the mill stuff is coming in. BTW there is a whole lot more of the mojo parts in the data but I have not put it up because it eats up space while being of interest to few.

When you say an additional sound, is it while riding or when the bike is idling? If during engine idling (as I infer), is it happening when the bike is on the side stand? Can you sit on the bike, hold it upright and check if this happens?

As for the tank bag the straps are falling short because the tank is large in size. I have a Viaterra tankbag that fits fine though. And I agree with you on the paint protection.

Finally, my bike does not have clunky shifts and I also shift up around 4 - 5K rpm. Some blipping while downshifting but that's a habit.
For the free play in the clutch I can tell you by next week when I return.

Thanks for the questions about the position of the bike during knocking.
Although the sound is clearer when the bike is on the side-stand, it is definitely present when the bike is on the move at lower RPMs and even after an hour of riding. The erratic vibrations can be felt at the handles too.

The free play at the clutch lever in my bike is less than what's in the manual and I will try an adjustment with more play. Please do let me know how much is it in your bike, when you return. Thanks

        2. how easily bike achieves and maintains speed of 120-130kmph as compared to CBR250, RS200 and duke

        TIA

          1. Pillion seat cushion is comfortable for long journeys, but it's little small for a tourer. So there isnt much space for pillion to adjust or move in discomfort. Short butt breaks will help.
          2. When compared to three bikes you've mentioned, Mojo reaches 120kmph much slower, slower for a 300cc engine. But it is very relaxed at those speeds when compared to RS200 and Duke. CBR250 engine stress level too is very less at 110-120.
          Bhargav.

Also for existing customers the ABS kit cannot be retrofitted easily and would cost a bomb since there are a lot of part changes including the Alloys and Instrument cluster.

Also my 1st service is done, the bike feels a lot smoother now than before, the throttle response is better and the bike easily climbs upto 7K RPM. The gearbox has become crisp and riding it is more fun than before. But as pointed out earlier, the bike is not a powerhouse, you will not climb speeds faster than say KTMs, it's very linear and you have to work your way to get to speeds above 120kmph.

Glad they are making it. Plus, it should be designed to retrofit because by 2018, all vehicles above 125cc must have ABS mandatory by law. So a cost of 20-25K for the upgrade would be a sweet deal. But will the SVC engineers be skilled enough?.

To all Mojo owners, how is the SVC?, svc engineer knowledgeable?. Aren't they the same ones who service Centuro, etc?

I think answering the first part of the question will take some time because most owners are completing their first service involving fairly easy stuff. After a few months the owners will put in their experience.

As for the second part, there is a separate service bay for the Mojo and some of the engineers are specially trained. As I don't know for sure, from my first service experience I believe that only select people service the Mojo.

Thanks. That's very good to hear that they are giving special attention.

Re: Mahindra Mojo Owners Reviews and Experiences

                  Hi all,
I'm from Mumbai. I currently own a P200NS. Took a test ride of the bike yesterday and following are my questions and inferences:
                  1. At lower speeds I did encounter some vibes on the handlebar. The bike I received was a media test bike so maybe that is the reason it was vibey (coz of the thrashing that people put these bikes through). Can the owners confirm if vibes exist?
                  2. Rider comfort is excellent but even my 53kg/5.2" mother found the pillion seat to be short. The grab rail positioning is poor causing a feeling of tipping over for the pillion. Can anyone suggest a good seat guy in Mumbai who can make good alterations?
                  3. Coming from the awesome brakes of the NS I felt the front brake to be slightly spongy. Rear brakes with a pillion were good but does the rear wheel lock up when riding single?
                  4. Although it was daytime, I found the headlight to be less powerful than my NS. (I'm taking about the intensity of the lights). How is the real world lighting during the night? Is the spot and the throw good enough? This is important as I do night shifts and travel by night or wee hours of morning.
                  5. I could take the bike through just the first 4 gears and the gearing felt short almost similar to my NS. Are 5 th and 6 th more relaxed?

                  Would greatly appreciate any inputs.
                  Thanks.

Two legs and Two wheels. Add two more and they become crutches and cars.

I checked this today - my bike has 2 mm (maybe a bit more) of clutch free play. Seems a bit less than the 2.5-3 mm as specified in the manual but it works fine.

The bike does not have vibes (i mean it does but they are of the microscopic kind). Maybe you were at low rpm's? The engine does not like low revs and knocks - leading to vibes. Take it above 3.5K and check.

                    2. Rider comfort is excellent but even my 53kg/5.2" mother found the pillion seat to be short. The grab rail positioning is poor causing a feeling of tipping over for the pillion. Can anyone suggest a good seat guy in Mumbai who can make good alterations?
No idea about Mumbai but many people are doing mods on their seats, basically the idea seems to be flattening the seat out. Have a look at this one (from the Mojo whatsapp group) -

                    3. Coming from the awesome brakes of the NS I felt the front brake to be slightly spongy. Rear brakes with a pillion were good but does the rear wheel lock up when riding single?
The bike has forks with longer travel so when the rider uses the front brake, the forks compress leading to an impression that the bike is not stopping. It is something to get used to but yes I agree sharper brakes would be better. Be careful of the rear brake, it locks up at the slightest tap, whether riding single or with pillion. Perhaps you can wait for the ABS model coming this year

I have not ridden much at night but in my opinion the lights are good enough for say 70 - 80 kmph

                    5. I could take the bike through just the first 4 gears and the gearing felt short almost similar to my NS. Are 5 th and 6 th more relaxed?
Both the fifth and sixth gears are overdrive ones. In sixth the bike does 18 km per 1K rpm so it is doing a 100 at 5500 rpm.
                    See answers in blue above.

Thanks for the quick response Tanay. The mod for the seat looks viable and I'm convinced the about gearing too[emoji2] . Also, is it not possible to fit a center stand? And I didn't see a crash bar or provision for one either.... what if the bike falls over on the radiator side shrouds which also houses the coolant reservoir (if i'm not wrong) causing extensive (and expensive) damage?

I don't think a center stand is available as an accessory and probably it is not possible to fit one either (but I can't say for sure)
Crash bars, radiator guards, saddlebag frames etc. are being worked on and will come soon enough as per discussions going on in the whatsapp group (there are many Mahindra personnel in the group so this info is accurate)

Thanks once again Tanay! [emoji2] I hope the accessories make their way into the market soon. I've got many a pesky kid in my colony and with no center stand and crash bar it's a huge worry. I sincerely thank you for your quick and detailed response.
