No idea. But rider comfort is 100% guaranteed.Originally posted by jbm_guy View PostWasnt the bike praised for pillion comfort as well?
I am thinking that you may be lugging the engine - try going to 4 or 5K rpm, its fine during running in. See if that helps, otherwise your nearby service center should fix this.Originally posted by Hiren Kamdar View PostHey guys, just got the bike few days back.. Run atleast 165km.i have few issues would be glad if you people can help me with :
1)bikes engine takes time to cool down approx an hour.
2)their is a slight sound while bike is on and while running as well.
3)gear shift is not smooth at all.
4)knoking can be feel, like old pulsars..
And problem is I can't take it to service center as my bike is not registered yet, I have a passing of thane(out of Mumbai) and service station is at goregaon.
To be fair, me and my friend are 6'2" and 6'1" respectively and weigh in excess of 230 kgs combined, with the sole positive that I contribute to slightly less than half of that weight.Originally posted by yatishankar View PostTanay,
The last post of yours is really discouraging to me. I had almost decided to go for the mojo if not the Himalayan for obvious reasons.
Considering i would have a pillion always and 2 saddle bags and one tank bag, what solution are we talking about here? Back rest? wider seat?
Here is the issue - the seat is thick enough to be comfortable as-is. But the bike pulls and the pillion feels like he/she is sliding off towards the rear. I think the pillion seat is not sloped forward enough and so there is always this fear of slipping off.
I am of the opinion that a backrest will fix this issue. You can find one such bike's pic somewhere in this thread.
Most importantly, though, please do not take my opinion as cold, hard fact. Please take a test ride with pillion and get actual feedback.
Mahindra is working on a saddlebag frame that can be used for mounting the backrest IMO. Look up the Auto Expo pics for this and there's a pic earlier in this thread too.200 | 300 | 1200 BOXER

Re: Mahindra Mojo Owners Reviews and Experiences
Yesterday, I had a long test-ride of Mojo. With just a phone call, the sales executive of Alfa Motors arrived with the test-ride bike at my home after taking my appointment!
The first test-ride was a short one with the sales executive as my pillion. Even with the medium-built pillion, I was not comfortable. His thighs were touching mine. He was breathing on my neck! For short city commutes, it may be okay. But, for long rides, this bike is better ridden solo only.
The second test-ride was a longer 6.0 km as per odometer and 5.7 km as per my GPS-based DigiHUD Pro smartphone app. The instrument cluster appears to be fairly dependable unlike my Thunderbird 500's. Since it is evening, I could not test the bike in higher speeds due to bumper-ro-bumper traffic in most of the places in our area. I found that in all the parameters like ground clearance, wheel base, suspension movement, liquid-cooled engine, etc, it exceeds Thunderbird 500 positively. The brakes were very sharp. Potholes were swallowed easily, thanks to the longer suspension travel. The switches had backlit illumination for easy identification in the night, which was not available in Thunderbird 500. When the traffic signal turned green, I was the first one cross it! I enjoyed the power, ride and handling of the bike. The fan worked for few minutes even after I switched off the ignition, cooling the coolant. Cool!
I used my toes only to upshift and downshift the gear. There is no provision in the gear-shifter to use heel to shift gears unlike the one available in Thunderbird 500. There are no pillion back-rest, central stand, kick-starter and saree-guard. When I asked the sales executive, how will I lubricate the chain during long rides, he suggested to buy a paddock stand or visit their service centres called first-aid points!
Similarly, when the battery becomes weak, kick-starter is the only saviour. The sales executive assured me that saree-guard is indeed available as OE stock fitment. I would have been happier if the bike had crash-guard, 12V/15A power outlet in addition to central stand and kick-starter as OE stock standard fitment since this bike is promoted as a tourer.
During my test-ride, the twin-pod headlamps with LED eyebrow guidelamps managed to turn many heads even in the night with some of them whispering to their friends 'Mojo'!
On the whole, Mahindra has done a brilliant job in launching this tourer at affordable price. BTW, I own a 42 k km-old Mahindra XUV 500 too!

Re: Mahindra Mojo Owners Reviews and Experiences
When i attended the launch of the Mojo, the Mahindra guys mentioned that their target is to convert RE guys to Mojo riders. They wanted people to make that switch. And you are an RE owner who took a test ride of the Mojo and came away happy! Mahindra seems to have gotten their strategy right then!!!Originally posted by J.Ravi View Post

Re: Mahindra Mojo Owners Reviews and Experiences
When I asked the sales executive as to who were their competitors, he replied without hesitation that Royal Enfield 350/500 models! He also mentioned that many who had already bought Mojo/booked already/took test-ride were/are the existing owners of Royal Enfield 350/500!Originally posted by The Monk View PostWhen i attended the launch of the Mojo, the Mahindra guys mentioned that their target is to convert RE guys to Mojo riders.
The major difference between Thunderbird 500 and Mojo: the latter has better build quality and is vibration-free with almost all the parameters - barring torque - exceeding the former positively. And you are an RE owner who took a test ride of the Mojo and came away happy!
Yes. Hats off to their customer service. First time, I had a test-ride of a two-wheeler from home!Mahindra seems to have gotten their strategy right then!

Re: Mahindra Mojo Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hi All,
Yesterday, visited Domlur, Bangalore showroom to have a look of red Mojo. One of the sales lady was there to provide information. The on-road price including everything comes to exactly 2L (1,99x). There's some money to get extended warranty i.e 2 (Usual?) + 3 (Extra) Years. Can some one confirm, this figure is for the engine only or whole bike ?
Information on waiting period :
Red : 30-35 days
White/Black : 22 days
I asked her about the ABS version (which is supposed to be coming by April 2016) and for the disappointment, she told it will take 1 year ?? I asked, that was told last year, that it will come next year i.e 2016. Are you sure ? She said, yes it will come next year 2017?
I am not sure, if they don't have information about ABS version or they are simply hiding the fact so that they can sell off current non-ABS versions. If that's the case, then it will be very disappointing, if ABS comes up soon. If someone has a concrete information on ABS launch, please post about it.
Thanks

Re: Mahindra Mojo Owners Reviews and Experiences
Congratulations proud owners of Mojo. I just completed reading this thread and i read a lot about ABS. I am not to be mistaken as a biker but i have done my share of biking. I do own a Triumph Street Triple now and has done about 400 kms but never did i feel the ABS kicking in even once. I live in a tier 3 city so i know what bad roads mean. But i myslef have never felt the need for ABS. Sure it is a damn good thing to have but imho not ultimately necessary. So if you want to buy the bike, just buy and ride it. All these waiting may not get you what you want. Why can't we all pretend like we live in the 90's and just ride our bikes regardless the ABS? Ride safe guys.

Dealers would tell all sorts of lie to sell their product. She wants you to buy the bikes available now.Originally posted by kunals View PostHi All,

When I asked around for R3 to the dealers near my place, they all said that it will be coming next week, next month etc, until I came to know that they don't even have the dealership for selling R3. Still they were lying.
