Thank you for the compliment. As I mentioned in my initial post no rattling, no vibrations, smooth and powerful engine. Plus the huge fuel tank capacity. I personally favour touring rather city riding or doing track. All these factors contributed in opting for the Mahindra Mojo. Although I have ridden both the Pulsars 150 & 200, 43000 kms (2 pistons) and 49000 kms (1 piston) respectively but refinement is something Bajaj products do lack and as an owner you kind of start adjusting to issues. Now coming to features, Dominar has uncountable features probably but again quality is something which is of prime importance to me. Hence, I chose a more reliable motorcycle then just taking a hasty decision of buying a Bajaj again just for features. Now when I say quality it means the parts used in the motorcycle, there fitting and the make. There is a huge difference. So would advise you to take test ride of both the bikes and then decide, which is more rational.
    Hi adp228,

I am in favor of quality over features and i am tired of making adjustments. I took a test ride of both the bikes but being a bajaj owner all my life i am persistent on looking elsewhere

    Thanks for sharing your views.

      Hi Mojo Riders,

I recently came to know that Mojo got some slight tweaks this year. So how is the BS4 updated 2017 version doing? Is the Pillion seat more usable now? Any improvements in Braking performance? Is it possible to install H4 LEDs by swapping the original bulbs?

      Cheers!

The bike has a slipper clutch. It's not there in the spec sheet but it is present on the bike. I tested this out and there's no wheel hopping on downshifting.
Can any other owner confirm ? Adhip tried this and reported the same.

So i have shortlisted Dominar and Mojo. Let us not discuss dominar here, Coming to Mahindra Mojo. Baking and headlights are my biggest concern. I had done TD on Mojo and brakes on that TD mule we pathetic they were worse than my Thunderbird 350.
So few people stated that they have changed Master cylinder and now brakes are more effective.
Is it really so, or its just a rumour?
I have seen a few people switching the master cylinder to Apache 180 RTR Master cylinder and found it doing wonders for them.
Have anyone tried these mods on your Mojo.
Except Sharat Shenoy, have anyone tried taking out these bulky Canisters and replace with something more sensible.
Any input would be highly appreciated.

Thanks you very much in advance.
Headlights you can always change. I have used both the old and new master cylinders for the front brake. I can say the new one is a huge improvement over the old one, especially the initial bite which was almost non existent on the old one. However even with the new cylinder it's not as sharp as many would expect. For example, my friend who rides a cbr 250 r was not very happy with it.

Tanay, long time no see. Hope you doing good.. We don't have any slipper clutch bro. Sharath (mojo baba) had mentioned about something called "Slipper Gear", I am not sure what it does though. The way an actual Slipper Clutch works is it helps you to downshift aggressively without causing a rear wheel lock. I have personally tried downshifting aggressively and it did lock the rear wheel and it was scary . Hence concluded there is no slipper clutch and even if it was there then its definitely a marketing point which Mahindra would've advertised about.

Yup, long time, and the heat + humidity in Delhi means no real long rides happening.

This 'slipper gear' does seem to act like a slipper clutch for not-too-aggressive downshifts, I've been testing it out for a while on empty roads. The reason for my assumption is simple - if I downshift and engine rpm does not spike, then there is some slip action going on. And on the bike that is actually happening - I downshift and the rpm remains the same (not even a little spike)

May not work for higher speeds/rpms but then I'm a sedate rider anyway.

What is this Slipper gear? Never heard of this concept till date. I would be happier if somebody enlighten me with that knowledge.

So me and my friend went for a spin. So he took my Mojo and I took his dominar . we were cruising at around 50 Km/h that suddenly a guy jumped in front of us . Both of us Panic braked . Strangely my mojo stopped quickly with some fishtail but i was about the hit the guy ( Thanks to the ABS of Dominar it was taking its own time to stop ) . Then i realised that only ABS is not of any help . It should have the functionality to switch off the ABS the way its available in big bikes. ABS is helpful when you are crusing at high speed and panic brakes but not in city.

                    Hi Twinthrottle,
I am not someone with great motorcycling skills, but i too have experienced something similar. With my R3 and Duke 390 which have ABS.

Did a 1000+ kms recently ( Bangalore-Valparai-Athirapally-Valaparai-Bangalore and in n around there) and was satisfied with the performance of the Bike..

The new JJuan front master cylinder has improved braking quite a lot. Was impressed by it. The only downside, the weight of the bike didnt allowed me to take the corners easily, but i managed that as well.

Overall , so far so good. Few Pictures to compliment.

I took a rented mojo again after a long time....Still contemplating to buy a new one but abs is a deal breaker for me.

This trip I really felt the bike just doesn't take corners...most of the mojo ive ridden does not inspire confidence in the corners...but this rented bike was absolutely hopeless(the back tyres was a Michelin )...

So ...to the owners of the bike...is there anything you have done to improve the handling of the bike...?..Does lowering the suspension improves the cornering ability drastically ?

                          Hi Fellow Riders,

I came across a certain piece of information which i wanted to confirm from you guys. Is it true that an optional ABS version of Mojo has been launched? I am sorry I was not aware of this and this came across me a few mins ago:

A complete catalogue of New Bikes available in India. Also checkout Latest bike models, prices, current news, bike comparisons and our expert reviews and ratings on top selling Best in India

I checked the website too and Mahindra doesnt seem to have mentioned it there. Just curious so i thought this would be the best place to confirm.

                              Hi All!

Thunderbird 350 twinspark owner here. I've had this bike for around 4 years now and after the initial fun drained off, I can't handle the vibrations, the unbalanced weight of the bike, the skinny tyres, the horrible servicing of this bike. I miss the smoothness of non-thumper bikes. Obviously my eyes are set on 250cc engines and above. I've considered the Mojo before and then backed out because of this one youtuber who cribbed about Mojo so badly. But now I see Mahindra is putting efforts in opening exclusive showrooms and hopefully more quality control and quality service. I know this is the Mojo owners thread but I'm hoping for some real honest answers for the below questions.

                              1. My main use will be daily commute that includes slow traffic and pothole ridden roads. How does the Mojo deal with this?
                              2. What's the average mileage from the point of daily commute?
                              3. I have back problems. Sports bike stance is a big no no to me. Has anyone with back pain done long rides on it with no issues?
                              4. I would give a 1/10 to RE servicing and 9/10 to TVS servicing from my experience. How's your overall experience with the servicing?
                              5. How is the reliability of the bike if you're in a bad situation like on the highways at the night or a very rainy day etc?
                              6. Do you think with a calm and safe owner, this bike can last over 5 years?
                              7. Real honest answer here please . If you had a Mojo and a Dominar, which one would you drive the most?

Thanks in advance for your help! Hopefully it'll help me come back to this thread as an owner.

                                Hello ,
It was Sachin who faced such a issue . But he was the first 100 customer of Mojo and things have changed a lot after that . Agree that the first lot had issues and Mahindra tried to rectify and replace the parts when user reported any issue . The latest lot of Mojo is hell more troublesome free
                                Now answering your questions
                                1. potholes will not be felt much , the shocks does the job properly They are neither too soft nor too hard
                                2. I get 28 with mixed highway and city ride
                                3. i am 6'4" weighing 109 Kg and i have done 600 Km a day with my wife with lots of luggage and without any issue
                                4. 8/10 . I would give 9 if the service centres were not too far ( Many time they fixed and replaced some part for free )
                                5. Cant comment much , but had a nice experience with Road Side Assistance once . They towed my vehicle when i met with an accident
                                6. Yes , but this is where RE excels , you can even keep RE for 20 years
                                7. Dominar for City and Mojo for Highways

Pm me if you need any more details
