Having different SVC and sales points only adds to cost and leads to narrow availability of services to customers. They should integrate Mojo and Jawa.

Retrofitting ABS is not an indicator lamp you can just swap, it involves changing parts(not one, not two, a lot), you would have to tune the ECU for different conditions ranging from dry asphalt, wet asphalt, gravel and what not. A factory fit is always better than an aftermarket with regards to safety. The costs involved are also higher that you're better off buying a motorcycle with ABS.

I am aware of the cost involved and part, tech needed starting from wiring kit, ABS module, new ECU, brake discs, sensors, ABS indicator on speedo(new speedo) etc etc.
Afterall we are a country which is known as "jugaad and mods" "mods own country", wait for someone from Kerala to get their on hands on it and they can get done anything and everything.

And sourcing ABS parts might not refer to be brand new one, say 2-3 years down the line parts from accident/stolen bikes become available in Karolbagh(Delhi), Shivajinagar(Bangalore), Chor Bazaar(Bombay) etc etc.

For some biker who loves his current emotionally(which lacks ABS sadly), he might not want to or can't sell off his beloved bike just in flash. He might go to any extent to get things done that extra mile.
I have a friend who is ready right now to spend upto ₹40-50K for fiting ABS on his girlfriend->2012 Duke 200.

The guy in the video has put "fingerprint start, mobile phone control, anti theft alarm, gps, navigation, call notification, cruise control, message alarts, auto headlight on off, auto high low beam, auto rear view mirrors open close, rear view camera, highway flasher, battery % meter, battery voltage meter, engine volt meter, voice control, voice instruction" on his R15!!! The cost of all parts is almost equal ₹20K, with losing all resale value from his heavy mods. He was better-off buying car which offers all the features he has put, but he wanted it on his much loved R15 and to prove a point with his skills.

So ya as long the owner loves what he is doing, hope in future in some Mojo owner really loves his current bike and does something with ABS fitting thinge.

[MENTION=8305]kiran[/MENTION] stock setup of a motorcycle should not be disturbed because there is a reason why companies invest a lot in design, engineering and R & D to match up to the real riding conditions...plus you can do it at your own risk but there is no long term assurance..if something happens then again you have to invest..plus personally I have been riding non abs bikes for the past 12 years....never felt the need of ABS...I am not saying ABS is not good, of course it is the safety feature and saved a lot of people but at the same time people also have crashed on ABS bikes...so there is no one fixed solution..a lot depends on anticipation, speed, presence of mind, traffic conditions, how one rides his/her bike..I think it's unfair to blame non abs motorcycles for crashes..

Yes, ABS is not the end game and will not a squid for crash-proof.
These big bikes gives lot of confidence while riding in terms handling and power which people misjudge for and tend to put on Godly mode.
ABS or no ABS, one should have always know his/her limits with having situational awareness.

Like Jermy Clakson once said, “Speed has never killed anyone. Suddenly becoming stationary, that's what gets you."

Hi Guys,

Need some advice its the year 2019. Does buying the mojo xt300 still make sense?. Lack of abs is not a deal breaker for me. I will be using it for daily commute plus occasional long drives. Budget is flexible.
Please suggest.

If touring is something which you will not be doing, then I personally won't suggest XT 300...it is not that great city commuter due to the weight...occassional long drives (250 to 300 kms max) can be done on other bikes also..a Duke 200 or 250 (I am assuming your budget is around 2 lacs since you are already targeting XT 300) can solve your purpose of daily commute and long drives on occasional basis. Hope this will be helpful. [emoji106]
