Re: Mahindra Mojo Owners Reviews and Experiences
All new bikes supposedly have improved brakes. For some older bikes, Mahindra was doing a master cylinder replacement which solved the issues. My own bike has the original master cylinder but in the last service I got the brake fluid flushed and replaced, and now there is a good amount of linear braking where earlier it was sort of binary - on/off braking. On this bike, it is a matter of getting used to the brakes, they are quite sufficient as I have found out many times in the hills.Originally posted by amarme001 View Post200 | 300 | 1200 BOXER

I am from Trivandrum. Have read almost all the responses in this thread before buying Mojo.
I had waited nearly a year for ABS and finally gave up and bought Mojo. Just to let you all know how I ended up buying Mojo; A short Time Line.
Early 2016: Casual chat with wife reg fav bikes and I tell her about RE-GT. Asked me when I am going to buy...
Mid-2016: Research on quarter litre bikes starts. Dropped GT as it was over priced for what it offered and was beyond my budget.
June-2016 : Came to know about Himalayan. Was promising but dropped it after knowing about numerous issues it had.
Then I looked for alternative and thats when I saw Mojo. I fell in love with its design and stance.
However lot of concerns so I thought would wait for the 2017 model in which they would address the issues.
Dec 2016 : Enter Dominar. Stunning bike with ABS and slipper clutch. Dominar was VFM however my eyes were still on Mojo.
And in 2017 updated Mojo was released but no ABS yet. Wait was still on.
September 2017: Test drove Mojo. I liked it instantly. Then came rumors of low-cost Mojo. Again waited. Thought Mahindra would bring options with Mojo this time; With ABS as high end and without ABS as low end.
February 2018: Mojo UT300 with carb released and no sign of ABS yet. Test drove UT300 and XT300 back to back. UT300 was a nimble driving in the traffic unlike XT300.
However the USD,FI and Pirelli did make a difference.
Booked Charcoal black Mojo XT300 by March 2018 End. Got Mojo on the first week of April.
Got the first service done yesterday.
I thank all the guys who contributed to this thread. Reading all of this clarified and increased my confidence to go ahead with Mojo.
All these days my account wasn't approved and couldnt post. And finally I got it approved today
Now happy to have the tourer
.
Same boat dude...still just waiting on abs....dont like any other bikes in the price bracket(onwed the 250r and himalayan)...mahindra is really playing the patience game with the new buyers

Awesome mods. It looks killer. Million times better than the stock. How is the throw of light?Originally posted by tanay View PostBasically, it looks like a triumph street/speed triple (older one with round headlights). Here's an older pic -

Until I finalize on the round dome with a 100W bulb, I plan to put in a nice big visor above the headlights and the bik'e good to go as-is. Here is a pic that was floating somewhere on facebook that illustrates -

As a bonus, the bike becomes rather light at the front leading to improved flickability, at least psychologically.

Well it is the same headlight cluster so illumination is basically the same, the pilot lamps are missing though. Overall illumination is sufficient for say 80-90 km/h.Originally posted by d_lonerider View PostAwesome mods. It looks killer. Million times better than the stock. How is the throw of light?
Once that round dome comes in I will see how the 90/100 bulb changes things.200 | 300 | 1200 BOXER

Re: Mahindra Mojo Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hi All,
It's seems this thread is dead...anyways..just wanted to update you guys that the 4th service of the bike is done (18000 kms)..got the front tire also replaced..costed me INR 4800..rear brake pads replaced...water is still seeping inside the digital console..waiting for it to dry up and then I will put tape on the periphery of the meter...the service did not have the part..front disc plate gone.not sure how..may be i didnt check the brake pads on time..isnt the service people responsible for it... and needs to be replaced...the service center (Synergy Mahindra) did not have the disc plate...will get it replaced from NAFS motors..engine is running smoothly..no problems whatsoever on this front...will continue to munch more miles...

Re: Mahindra Mojo Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hi Owners,
(Appreciation to Adhip for keeping the thread alive, without which I couldn't be sure if I will get a response to the query I am about to post.)
So here it goes:
I have been craving for Mojo since (at least) 2 years and been holding back due to the budget constraints.
I didn't go with UT300, as it's not fitting the deal, in my opinion.
Now, there is an opportunity to by a used Mojo with the following details and the owner quoted INR 135,000 for it.
I request your help to decide whether I should consider the offer and any specific questions I should get answered before considering.
1) Date of purchase: December 2015,
2) Generation: First
3) Emission norm: BS3
4) Kilometre ridden: Less than 1000
5) Document compliance: Insurance expired and the owner confirmed he can get it renewed
6) Reason for sale: Back pain caused by the job profile and not riding the Mojo
7) Condition: Good enough
I realise it's quite possible the bike may well have niggles reported by First generation owners.
Regards,
KM

The bike and tyres looks good and clean in pictures.
I feel the price a bit 10-15k higher for a 3 year old model.Though the kms driven are less ,the free service and warranty period is already over.
Regarding the issues with first batch, the only major issue was the less responsive front brake which was fixed by mahindra free of cost using new master cylinder. Rest of the bike is still same and running good n smooth...!!

Re: Mahindra Mojo Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hi all,
I love the Mojo XT300 and would like to get it as soon as possible. But DP Motors,Chennai could not get me a test ride for the past 10 days. Its quite annoying that there is only one showroom in Chennai and it cannot even provide a test ride. Moreover, the waiting period seems to be around a month which is too damn high.

I recently bought a Mojo XT300 from the same DP motors. As far as i know, the sales person there Mr. Chandrasekar is really a good person and i don't know why you have not got a test ride yet. I called them through phone and i got to test ride the bike on the same day. you could use my name if you want to ;-)
Regarding the Test ride bike, they don't have the XT300 for test ride instead it is a 2016 model which is actually still in a good shape
Yes it could take a month. But i got the bike within a month. They actually promise 10 days but it might get delayed due to less demand. Patience is a critical factor if you want to own a Mojo in Chennai
The sales person will be very open to you and they will let you know when you would receive your bike. to be frank 1 month is not too high ;-) 3 years ago we need to wait 3 or 4 months to get a RE classic 350 Black. Now it is reduced due to high demand.

Re: Mahindra Mojo Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hi, I am from Mumbai and I sent email to Mahindra two wheelers customer care directly. They said there is no news about ABS version. I was waiting since last 3-4 months, at least some news to come out with some tentative launch date of ABS version but it might take at least 8-9 months (or may be more). So I went ahead and booked my Mojo XT 300 Charcoal Black and I am expecting its delivery by end of August. If ABS version is launched in 2019, I am sure Mahindra will come up with some solution on how ABS kit can be fitted on existing Mojo (non ABS version).Originally posted by vishal2410 View PostHi Guys...
Any clue on when the abs version is launching....or is it still a long wait :P

Re: Mahindra Mojo Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hi Guys..I am happy to announce that I have successfully completed a solo road trip from Bangalore to Delhi on my beloved Mojo...It was a ride of a lifetime and I enjoyed every moment of it...I followed the below mentioned route:
Bangalore - Sirsi - Yellapur - Karwar - Palolem - Mollem - Khanapur - Belgaum - Pune - Indore - Jaipur - Delhi
I did a total of 2976 kms. The motorcycle did very well and I really impressed with it. I did not face any breakdowns, no loose parts, no rattling (except the chain which was tightened in a timely manner), no power loss and engine was running smooth throughout. In the complete road trip I did 80 - 115 kmph as I am not a guy who wants to rip the bike and got a mileage of 33 kmpl. I can convincingly say that this is best touring motorcycle in India. Even the brake problem finished since I got the brake pads changed. Thanks to NAFS motors, Bangalore for this.
I cant say more about the motorcycle as you are best judge now. I am sure this will clear a lot of doubts. Here is some photos from my trip:
Hope you guys enjoyed the photos!Regards,

Re: Mahindra Mojo Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hello Folks,
My first post.
. As many of you, my search for next bike got me here. And obviously am considering Mojo. Have liked the bike ever since i took the first ride and ticks all my requirements. Do suggest me if there are any strong reasons for not going for it !!!
My concern is mainly with the post-sales, as Mahindra has not been doing good with their two wheeler business, and many dealerships/service centers are closing as well. Are there any issues faced by current owners regarding services, especially while on long rides ??
Thanks in advance!!
