No any issue with Mojo for hilly terrain. You must be knowing about mountain trail organised by mahindra every year. Just change the tyre set and you are good to go.Originally posted by adventure adi View PostI belong to j&k it's a hilly terrain is mojo suited for that sought of terrain where roads are very bad or no roads at all?

Do take test ride of both then decide for yourself and see which suits you best.Saludos,

Re: Mahindra Mojo Owners Reviews and Experiences
So if we reduce the front weight will this problem fix.Originally posted by Gouthammohan View PostYeah, i too experience the same here. I think this is because of the unequal weight distrivution in the rear tyres. When riding with a pillion, the locking of rear slows down. But without a pillion this is a real problem.

Re: Mahindra Mojo Owners Reviews and Experiences
Reducing the front weight or mass decreases the normal rection from the ground which in turn reduces the friction and caused it to slip or lock tyres of the front. I think slightly shifting the centre of mass from the current postion towards the rear side may decrease the lock up of rear tyres or slightly adding some weight in the rear side may fix the problem, this will definitely decrease the performance of bike but as always safety comes first.Originally posted by Bhavishya Jaiman View PostSo if we reduce the front weight will this problem fix.Last edited by Samarth 619; 04-08-2018, 05:40 PM.

Without ABS, even other bikes like Duke 390 locks all over the place on the slightest press. Its not a detuned version of a disk brake, which is good.Originally posted by Gouthammohan View PostReducing the front weight or mass decreases the normal rection from the ground which in turn reduces the friction and caused it to slip or lock tyres of the front. But, I do not favour trying to modify the weight distribution, because you will need the front grip more, if you want effective braking.
And that will get worse when you tamper the weight distribution.
I would suggest that you choose a more grippy rear tyre, preferably in the same or at best, slightly lower tyre height then before. And adjust your braking and remain attentive at all times so that you don't panic brake..---

Re: Mahindra Mojo Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hi xbhians,
I am from Trivandrum. Have read almost all the responses in this thread before buying Mojo.
I had waited nearly a year for ABS and finally gave up and bought Mojo. Just to let you all know how I ended up buying Mojo; A short Time Line.
Early 2016: Casual chat with wife reg fav bikes and I tell her about RE-GT. Asked me when I am going to buy...
Mid-2016: Research on quarter litre bikes starts. Dropped GT as it was over priced for what it offered and was beyond my budget.
June-2016 : Came to know about Himalayan. Was promising but dropped it after knowing about numerous issues it had.
Then I looked for alternative and thats when I saw Mojo. I fell in love with its design and stance.
However lot of concerns so I thought would wait for the 2017 model in which they would address the issues.
Dec 2016 : Enter Dominar. Stunning bike with ABS and slipper clutch. Dominar was VFM however my eyes were still on Mojo.
And in 2017 updated Mojo was released but no ABS yet. Wait was still on.
September 2017: Test drove Mojo. I liked it instantly. Then came rumors of low-cost Mojo. Again waited. Thought Mahindra would bring options with Mojo this time; With ABS as high end and without ABS as low end.
February 2018: Mojo UT300 with carb released and no sign of ABS yet. Test drove UT300 and XT300 back to back. UT300 was a nimble driving in the traffic unlike XT300.
However the USD,FI and Pirelli did make a difference.
Booked Charcoal black Mojo XT300 by March 2018 End. Got Mojo on the first week of April.
Got the first service done yesterday.
I thank all the guys who contributed to this thread. Reading all of this clarified and increased my confidence to go ahead with Mojo.
All these days my account wasn't approved and couldnt post. And finally I got it approved today
Now happy to have the tourer

Re: Mahindra Mojo Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hello everyone!!
I am a biking enthusiast from Pune who has been following the Mojo from the time it was launched (And also before it). For the past few years I couldn't muster the will to go for a tourer as I had a lot of responsibilities here (I own a company so I had to stay and run it!!) During that time, I would traverse the city (with quick jaunts to neighbouring cities) on my current bike, a Honda Unicorn Dazzler. Though the Dazzler is still a great city commuter, It's nowhere even close to being comfortable for long hours in the seat (I managed 2 hours before taking a break due to seat sores!!) So this year, I have finally decide to take the plunge and buy the Mojo. And herein lies my dilemma. There are no showrooms in Pune!! So I would like to ask any Mojo owner in Pune, where did you get your bikes from?? Navi Mumbai/Mumbai?? And what about the servicing?? Do you take it back to the showroom or is there an Authorised Service Centre in Pune??
Please get back to me on this.
Thanks!!

Re: Mahindra Mojo Owners Reviews and Experiences
Having been inspired by Adhip, I'm putting in an update here as well. The bike is about 2 and a half years old, done about 16K kms. I got the side panels blackened and took off the OE dome and am planning for a single round dome later. Here is how it looks currently -
Also, I got the chainset changed today. Cost including labour and taxes was Rs 2336200 | 300 | 1200 BOXER

Basically, it looks like a triumph street/speed triple (older one with round headlights). Here's an older pic -Originally posted by amarme001 View PostHi,

Until I finalize on the round dome with a 100W bulb, I plan to put in a nice big visor above the headlights and the bik'e good to go as-is. Here is a pic that was floating somewhere on facebook that illustrates -
As a bonus, the bike becomes rather light at the front leading to improved flickability, at least psychologically.200 | 300 | 1200 BOXER

It looks a lot more appealing without the dome. A visor would be great to improve the looks.Originally posted by tanay View PostBasically, it looks like a triumph street/speed triple (older one with round headlights). Here's an older pic -

One more question. How are the breaks compared to when you brought new?
