• Re: Mahindra Mojo Owners Reviews and Experiences

    Hi guys,

Please post updates on how the Mojo is going so far. Especially would like to know the newer 2017 BS4 feedback.

How good is the seat update?

How is front braking feel now in 2017 models?

Has anyone lowered the front fork by 10-15 mm? I saw a few of them did in the first 2015 model, and they reported the handling and nimbleness improve considerably.

Also is Mahindra expanding still interested, just a bit worried since only one dealer in Chennai.

Asking for a friend who is thinking about Mojo and Apache RR310.

    Cheers!

      Hello Fellas,

      Good day.

I believe this group is becoming too silent .

I have a query to ask for.

Does anyone have installed a taller windscreen on their Mojo's.

I saw one Red and white Mojo in Trivandrum( Kazhakuttom) to be a specific and not sure he is present in this thread and will see this if he present here.

He has done some quite upgrades.

He is upgraded the Windscreen and Exhaust. He does not have the stock Light gold coloured exhaust.

To be frank, the tall windscreen was matched perfectly on his Mojo and it looked really sexy.

So, please do let me know where can I get the tall aftermarket windscreens for Mojo.

      Thanks in advance.
Harrisoncool bro... whats the update? have you got the mojo or Domi... ?

I had a brief test ride of my friend's brand new 2018 Yellow Mojo XT300. The brakes have been vastly improved from the last time I test rode in Jan 2016. The seats have become way too soft now though. Mettalic Yellow paint quality was really nice. The Headlights still lack intensity and focus.

But I feel the UT300 would turn out to be a better handling(nimble) motorcycle though.

"Mahindra Two Wheelers*has finally launched the new Mojo UT 300 priced at Rs. 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The*Mahindra Mojo*UT 300 is based on the original Mojo introduced in 2015, but gets stripped off a few features to make it more affordable than the current model.

Mahindra says the new UT badging stands for 'Universal Tourer'; while the standard Mojo has been rebranded as the Mojo XT 300 or Xtreme Tourer 300. Mahindra is offering a Rs. 10,000 introductory benefit on the Mojo UT 300, which is valid till March 2018."

"The 295 cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve, single-cylinder engine is the same but gets a carburettor fuel system instead of fuel injection.

Power output has seen a significant drop on the UT 300 with the motor churning out 23 bhp and 25.2 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox. In comparison, the XT 300 with FI makes 27 bhp and peak torque of 30 Nm."

Yo bro... same thing I am wondering about and I am not pretty sure about when an exclusive showroom for Mojo is going to be for Mojo in Chennai.

I believe some one from here was talking about the Exclusive Mojo Showroom in Coimbatore or Salem. First wanna check the status of it. Then they might have plans for Chennai I believe.

Can you please elaborate about the experience of yours riding your Friend's Mojo XT300... ?

              Thanks in advance.

The Salem Mojo dealer (SRV Motors) has been running for the past few years and is doing a brilliant job in terms of customer service. The best region, one can say.

Unfortunately, as far as Coimbatore goes it’s been six months of hearing that an exclusive showroom is coming up but none has started as of now.

Mr. Kannan, MD of SRV motors informed me last week that they’re negotiating for a location at Coimbatore. However, it’ll be easily another six months before operations can start here - if everything works out, that is.

                Hope this info helps.

                  Hey,

It was a short ride only like less than 3 kms. As I said earlier the Yellow Paint Quality was nice it gives the Mojo a unique look too.

I felt the motorcycle was better put together than the one I rode back in early 2016. That wooden front brake has disappeared. Now it has good initial bite with better feedback. The exhaust note is not bassy with db killer, sounds just like a normal bike at idle. Only above 4000rpm there is raspy note. Suspension is good as always.

Only later did I found out that the new bigger seat for rider and pillion is only available in Black, White and Red. The seat in this Yellow XT300 was bad, very spongy and soft. Less than adequate comfort/room for pillion. Stock Headlights lateral throw is okay but lacks direct longer throw and sharp focus. H4 LED bulb upgrade is necessary.

                  Cheers!

                    Screenshot from the New brochure

So the UT300 is longer but has shorter wheelbase, lesser ground clearance, slightly higher seat height. Also the rear tyre is 140/70 tyre reduced from 150/60 tyre. Including the new handlebar and traditional forks to the equation, the new Mojo's handling would be more sharp and will turn in quickly than XT300 right?

Anyone test rode the UT300 yet?

The owner of the Mojo exclusive showroom is quite an avid biker and has been testing it for sometime. According to him, the handling is indeed sharper. Especially with better rake angle.
                      Best regards

That's nice to hear. Wished they never detuned this one, it would've been in my garage. They're missing a huge market of enthusiasts by not providing ABS too.

Just Adding ABS would make it mini Versys 650 in the 300cc segment. Both of them have very similar character for long distance touring.

If you are not going to use Himaliyan for off roading regularly then no point buying it, Mojo xt is the best option then engine is very smooth and power delivery is very linear. You will enjoy cruising.(Do consider Dominar[emoji12] ).
