Bro when going through a rough patch or maneuvering in the traffic (specially with pillion) the bike tends to pull towards one side.

Not sure if the cone set is too tight or too loose or something to do with the wheel alignment.

Although the bike is stock ,no alterations done and no falls or drops till now.
No issues so far on my Mojo. although handling in traffic in general takes getting used to because of the sheer size of the bike

I usually avoid the Mojo in traffic as I have a scooter. Don't enjoy the heat that much even though it is much more bearable than some of the other bikes around. Personal preferences
    Best regards

Same happened with me also and I had no idea what was wrong. Mechanic was smart enough to figure out that by himself by lifting bike's front end with a jack and checking if handle remains still at the center position or not. It was turning left by itself which was fixed later .
Thanks a lot for your inputs Bro. That's a relief now 😊.
I was really worried about it. Hope they will rectify the problem in the service.
Otherwise the bike is just awesome. ✌👌

        Cool Bro 😊

Indeed Bro I never realised how huge the bike was until I took my first test ride. And maneuvering it in traffic does takes some getting used to.

Hi! I have a query to the long term Mojo owners here and it's quite specific.

I'm really, really smitten by the Mojo and after the test ride a few days back, I had to use all my will to not book the bike at that very moment itself. Why did I hold back? Well, one single doubt told me to take the time to think it through. I tried and got nowhere, so I'm relying on fellow XBhp-ins to help me out here.

But let me take a moment to briefly elaborate the reasons why I'll be enquiring about this specific Q in the first place.

I've had a very long hiatus from my motorcycle touring days and now my singular purpose is to get back to it. I'm not going to use the bike for any sort of city running around - my car/SUV/scooter will do that part. I live in Coimbatore now (though that's not where I'm from) and the nearest Mojo showroom is around 180km away. There has been a confirmation that another exclusive outlet will start soon in my city itself. I'll take a chance on relying on that info and I'm okay with the purchase from the other city.

Getting back to the matter, the golden years (architecture college, 1991-1996) is when I'd done my initiation to art of loving motorcycle riding with a bunch fellow roadies. Back then, we had REs with the good old thump and perennial oil leaks We did some really long rides (Manipal to Goa, Hampi, Kerala, etc.) and as was the norm back then, we used to carry our tools, spare chains, fuses, clutch cables, etc. We'd eventually become amateur service guys (LOL!!) but the thumpers helped us mature into the zen of riding; I think more like take-in-the-moment dudes (I still am!)

Those days of riding ended with getting on with life in general and though along the years I've owned a KB100, an Avenger and much later the first version of the TB350 (for just a year), I never did any serious riding for the last part of two decades - it's just been about work and family.

Now, on to my enquiry. Today, If ask myself if I'd be okay with worrying about rattles/leaks/carrying fuses, etc. - the present 'me' almost immediately answers an emphatic NO!! So, for a budget tourer with great build and refinement, the Mojo surely fits the bill. This is also the one reason that I found myself moving away from the BS4 Himalayan as an option - they claim to have sorted out the niggles (too early to tell, really) though it remains a great tourer option. The niggles might still be there possibly but the servicing backup is easily accessible anywhere in the country. But honestly, It's this part that makes undecided still.

I do understand that this point shouldn't be an issue to keep worrying about if a vehicle (like the cars these days) are built with good quality and reliability.

So, my query then: Long term owners, can I take a chance on the lack of Mojo service networks? How's your experiences been?

I might have answered this in my previous statement, but I'd better go by the voices of experienced owners here. And to me, the one point that I noted is that on this Mojo ownership thread till date, there has been almost very little talks of niggles or persistent problems - it's almost like all the Mojo owners are too busy riding!

Thanks in advance and any in-depth opinions would be truly appreciated!

            Hi,

When it comes to reliability and build quality, Mahindra Mojo is a clear winner here. I am not sure about the Himalayan as RE is not my cup of tea. You can make your Mojo also a go anywhere bike once you change your tires

Now coming to your usage, this is a good motorcycle for touring. Relaxed, smooth, comfortable and you can do 100 - 120 kmph all day long. The 21 liters tank will easily give you a range of 500 - 520 kms provided you ride in a sane manner. So the headache of stopping frequently at petrol pumps is not there. Considering there is no showroom in Coimbatore, I would suggest you to wait for it, if you really want to purchase this bike. Buying it now will not make sense, since there is no service station in that city and even few niggles here & there will make you feel stranded. The experience at the service center has been amazing since the bike is exclusive and service bay is also separate. I don't have to wait much to get my bike's service done.

Lastly you have rightly pointed out, Mojo owners are too busy riding. We just can't get enough of it.

Thanks much for your insights, Adhip!

I figured out that the reliability and build quality of the Mojo was exemplary via this thread itself. The fact is, over the past many months I've actually taken my time and gone through every single post since 20/11/15 when Tanay had kicked off this thread. The one thing that became evident is that I didn't come across any discussions that go like:

"My issue still remains..the SVC guys are least bothered..." or "Help! The mechanic has tried everything! I don't know what to do..." or "I'm thinking of trying this jugaad, has any one else..." or "does anyone else get tick-tick-tick/kraak sound while they are....", etc. with responses like "try this..or I tried this..it worked!!" or "try tape/thingamajig jugaad.." or "it's okay, it will go away soon..." Now therein, lies the proof. Customer feedback. I give Mahindra two thumbs up for this.

As I'd mentioned earlier, I can live with anything but having to become a junior mechanic once again in my lifetime. I actually did consider investing in a premium segment but the Mrs. had shot so many holes in that plan, that it now lies bruised and barely breathing, somewhere in the corner of my mind, silenced (for the time being... )

One of the first things I looked into was the tech support in my city till the exclusive service starts up. I came to know that the two previous (and still running) dealers of Mahindra two wheelers can cure any tiny niggles - it's just that they are not allowed to sell or do the major services on the Mojo unless they go exclusive. So I'm betting on the fact that this bike is not one to throw any major surprises at me. She's built well and I think I should be able to run her in upto the second or third services with the backup exclusive dealer in the other city - by which time the local exclusive chap should be functioning.

I appreciate your point about waiting up, but as things might go in matters of someone setting up shop - this waiting might not end as expected. And I think I best move on before the Mrs. reloads her double barrels once again! Ha ha!

So thanks again for your response, buddy and an extra thanks for your YouTube video on the Rynox expedition trail bag mounting - I actually have that item on my bucket list too!

                Hi buddy,

I am no long term owner, but I am part of the Bangalore Mojotribe and let me tell you that people on there are more forthcoming with their problems. These are still minor niggles like a screw rusting or becoming loose. There are other issues being reported, but these are singular as far as I can tell and not generic to the Mojo. I would still advice you to get it, but not under the impression that it is completely niggle free. I guess people don't want to admit some flaws that come their way when its a two lakhs + investment That said, the majority of owners are happy with it. And once you have an SVC at your place, everything is sorted because they are very willing to help and assist.

I can completely relate to your scenario, although my break from touring has been relatively shorter. Just an year. Even I was considering buying a Triumph, but ditched the plan myself and got the Mojo.
                Best regards

A good perspective on the facts, buddy! Good of you to say so, I understand what you’ve put across. Wasn’t expecting the bike being absolutely niggle free but by now, my bet is that it’s a better proposition than other option I had planned on. Thanks again for your feedback. Cheers and ride safe!

                    Hello Fellas,

                    Good day.

Gonna get the hands on mojo real soon. But, I am going to trivandrum for my work and I am thinking of taking my bike over there if I buy it in next one month.

I just need some details from your end regarding this those who are in trivandrum. Is there a exclusive mojo showroom in trivandrum or any authorized service center in trivandrum?

Can anyone please help me with it? So that it will ease up things and proceed with booking my mojo.

Awaiting for your valuable response and Thanks in advance.

                    Ride Safe !!! Cheers !!!

You mean to say the mojo has no waiting period?

Nope. There isn't any exclusive dealer + service centre for the Mojo at Trivandrum yet.

The present dealer of Mahindra two wheelers at TRV is Brilliance Motors but they are still authorised by the company to do the sales + service for Mojo. The sales person incharge of the Mojo segment informed that it might take upto six months for the exclusive outlet to function there.

Since I speak Malayalam, I got onto the Mojo website and dialled up the Mr. Vinod Kumar's mobile number listed on it - stating that I'm asking info for a buddy and got this info. Hope this helps in making your decision. Ciao!

Don’t think there’s any waiting period issues these days. I’m booking mine from Salem, Tamil Nadu and the delivery period is max. one week or none if there’s stock. I’d initially thought of picking it up from my hometown Calicut, Kerala and those guys had also said delivery period is one week max.

Guess I should have mentioned 'color'. I was given a waiting period of one month for the crimson matte (I booked last month). The last I checked, the bike is still in the factory and will be dispatched first week of October. Hence asked.
