Congrats. Many are praising Hornet meanwhile, looks like you are not happy with your buy?. Gixxer in gear performance is great and Hornet lacks that. Taller gear system takes the toll here. But still Hornet will at least be half a sec faster than Gixxer and has good top end. Share more pictures and experience. Ride safe.

        Thanks.
May be It felt like that because I rode it below 4k rpm.I am happy with the bike but finish of welds is lacking I feel.also the engine is quite refined compared to gixxer.it also builds revs easily and being a new bike grabs attention of people

Yeah, refinements are always high with Honda, as we all expected. Hornet did live up to that. Since riding below 4-5K rpm will not show the full potential. Plus the bike has gears taller, so post 6K you should feel the surge. But watch out, you are in run-in period. Please follow as per the Hornet manual.

do not worry about performance just keep one thing in your mind other man's wife is always more beautiful than yours and his bike is more refine, fast, powerful etc.so one must enjoy his both ride and should not kill the fun by comparing. Gixxer can not be hornet and vice versa

                    Thanks bro,
I have limited experience of bike.all I have done is 42 km.what I can say its performance feels better on open roads and does 55 kmph at 3.8-4k rpm over a incline.will give More information after riding it for a while.

Refinement are better with Honda but not vibe-free experience like Gixxer. This Hornet bike sure has taller gearing, my Unicorn 160 does 50-52 kph @ 4k rpm.

                            Initial views ,
                            Please pardon my writing skills
                            Review:
Overview,I am a student pursuing engineering from MJ college of engg. Currently in 2 semester of 2 year. I had been contemplating to buy a two wheeler for almost 3 months now. First I thought to buy a second hand bike but my father was against it and asked me to select a bike. My preference was a 150cc bike with decent handling and performance ,keeping this in mind I short listed the following bikes
                            1.fz v1
                            2.gixxer
                            3.Apache rtr 160
                            4.fz v2
                            Selection process:
Fz v1 :first in line was Yamaha dealer. It was not a pleasant experience, test ride was not offered and they did not followup after that.also the fz was quite old with mediocre performance and below average mileage. Thus it was not selected.
Gixxer:Suzuki dealership is just beside yamaha and I visited it.people there were courteous and I was also offered a test ride. I was blown over by its performance and looks.this was my bike I thought but my father was against it due to small and high pillion Seat .thus with a heavy heart I knocked it off my list.
Fz v2:looks were quite good but price to power ratio was not Inviting enough.this bike was almost finalised by my father due to time wasted by me.I was like one day this is final the other day no gixxer is final.
Apache: it was knocked off due to small size and me being pretty heavy at 100kg and 5'11".
Then came the news of hornet 160r being launched on 10 December. It looked awesome and also has a large saddle ,engine from unicorn was also pretty smooth.thus this bike was finalised
Buying experience: Honda dealership was quite good but crowded.I was attended after a couple of minutes and the person did not even know of such bike. He then enquired with manager and booking was done, assured of delivery within 10 days. After that due to exams delivery was delayed and finally I got my bike on 23rd December.
                            Actual review part.
Performance: from my limited experience of 100kms performance is quite good and it is opening up with distance. Engine sounds pretty good but not a
competition to gixxer's bassy and throaty exhaust.gear box is good and gears slot in with a distinct click.
Fit and finish :fit and finish is class leading in my opinion for most of the parts with exception of switchgear and chassis welds .
Looks : it is a head Turner and looks like a proper naked bike when compared to gixxer which has sporty looks.it is quite big and looks a size larger than gixxer which is quite good for my heavy body.the standout component is the taillight.it glows bright and is a led unit.
These are the few cons from my limited experience.
Switchgear does not befit this bike.
                            Headlamp is Ac.
Bike is a little heavy at 140kgs.

Hi friends I have observed rust on some welds , I don't know whether is it common or quality problem.will Honda repair it or replace the parts.
