Cant the new switch gear be fixed if we buy now?
Because, honda can't do this to a very newly released bike, or can they?

Don't know why so fuss about engine kill switch, it is basically as turning ignition off and on again.

How does the Hornet fare in this regard?
How soon it started? When I was driving Hunk (5 year old), it got cold start issue after 2 years. But with choke, I was able to start in one go in all the seasons of Hyderabad.

It's not a knocking issue its just a characteristic of engine.

I just gone through that link; what i had in my mind is, if the addition is only the engine kill switch, i wont wait till it comes to market, rather i will go for existing model itself. it is just ON/OFF switch. But Honda replaces the entire switchgears, then i will surely regret for buying. Im really confused what to do, whether to wait or go with existing model..

If Honda showcases the modified Hornet 160R in Auto Expo, which is going to take place in Feb'2016, how long it will take this particular model to come to market??? In simple words, i have to wait for 2 more weeks to know Hornet 160R is going to have new addions? if so, what are the actual additions? and how long more do i have to wait for owning it?? Im very much in need of buying a bike right now, and i have to get mine before this month ends. My condition is really critical.!

One more doubt, suppose that i buy the existing Hornet 160R model, and honda updates the Hornet 160R withing few days after my purchase, is it possible that i can upgrade / replace with new switchgears?

              kindly comment your views..

Bookings for new models (non-concept) start immediately after the showcase. So you will get the new version within 1-2 month of showcase

Yes, I can't start bike on any gear using Kick. Generally Kick works with clutch on, if bike is in gear.

                      Anyway, Not a big issue.

Q: Dealer mechanic suggested to use kick in morning? What is the effect if we use ignition switch in morning (Cold, I guess).

Fine, kicker dont work in gears even if we apply clutch. We need to rush for finding neutral.
[I feel neutral can be readily available in 1-N-2-3-4-5 model gear box, yes im pointing towards false-neutral. but when we really need neutral, i have to work hard]

what about self start? same condition applies there too?

No in case of self start you can depress the clutch in any gear and push the starter

Lol.Honda must look into grievances of people and these things make a lot of difference to the overall feel.

True. But i was reading in every websites who reviewed hornet 160, unicorn 160 and shine sp, all are complaining about switchgears quality and layout. And some honda lovers comment that Honda has best R&D team and they correct and update quicker. for example they are quoting "Unicorn 150 received lot of updates". Even some said Honda doesnt give what the user want (features) for the money spent, rather they give riding experience(Engine and Ride quality).
