      The handle bar buzz is more or less, as there is no weight. Though very little I am also going to try your solution. That's a snappy trick.

          Did you try installing the fz25 rear sprocket. Hows the throttle response after the sprocket mod. Does the top speed drop drastically after the mod. I only need it to do 100 smooth and get bit more power at lower rev range.

            Completed 48,000 km…..
            3 and Half years……
            48,000 km service done at Purackal Honda Kuravilangad. Chain & sprocket changed (Rs.942), front brake pad( Rs. 658), damper set wheel (Rs.97), Engine oil (synthetic – CBR) Rs. 533, …Total amt Rs. 3211 (included GST & Labour cost)
            Chain and sprocket lasts 28,000 km…. compared to previous OE set (20,000km)
            Back tyre also replaced….. CEAT Zoom XL140-70/70 … which also lasts 28,000 km….. cost Rs.2800/- including fitting charges and GST. Last time another tyre shop charged Rs.3,300 + Rs.100 fitting charges for CEAT Zoom XL140-70/70.My OE back tyre MRF lasts only 20,000 km (1st set). CEAT lasts 28,000 km , much better than MRF (only 20,000 km)
            Performance and engine sound improved (much refined) after this service. Thanks to Honda Service and adviser. Mineral oil may available (Rs.290) even half cost to synthetic oil (Rs.533), but difference is incomparable in my personal experience.
            Fuel efficiency also around 54-55 Km/L

                  Periodic wear and tear.

                  Overhaul the front end, change both dust and oil seals, while you have the forks off it would be best to change the conseset as well.

                  Ideally if you extend overhauls until the fork gives up it is best to change the springs as well, they cost peanuts.

                  Better DIY else the SVC would rip you a new one, had made the mistake of getting the job done at SVC due to lack of time as I was employed back then, still regrets the decision as they charged me a whooping 4.x k. In comparison consumables cost me a couple of hundreds and the tool for overhauling the fork itself costs 220/-

                    OP can get as much info and get it done at nearby mechanic.
                    Explaining clearly and asking mechanic what to do will save unnecessary cost from mechanic.

                      have anyone of you got the stock battery replaced?
                      I guess my stock battery has died.

                      can anyone suggest a good replacement
                      budget is not a problem and is this life okay for the stock battery?

                      p.s i also installed a hella car horn with relay few days back.

                        Takes nothing but little guidance, commonsense and the right tools to overhaul the front end.

                        Not a fan of many FNG's when it comes to motorcycles, spend enough time around a workshop and you'd see why.

                        I have a pending brake overhaul on my P220 and have already bought the consumables but I've left the motorcycle to rest while I'm using my CT100B simply because I lack the time, my FNG could get it done in under 10 min's flat at a pittance compared to what the SVC does it, but then knowing how they're used to working on motorcycles, I simply refrain from that option.

                        Explaining clearly and asking mechanic what to do will save unnecessary cost from mechanic.
                        This option is available for FNG's only, as when it comes to ASS there are fixed service charges for every bit of labor that goes on.

                        Ideal life for a motorcycle battery is 3 years, simply replace rather than recharge as that is mostly a scam.

                        Get any maintenance free battery you can get that fulfills your recommended Volts and aH rating, Amaron is preferred overall due to better warranty coverage.

                        Make sure quality of aftermarket wiring is top notch, else you're in for a bumpy ride, myself and Aneesh got a pair of windtones installed in my ZMA back in 2011 from a local workshop, one fine raininy day the thing caught on fire.

                          Actually I never liked the idea of giving my bike to svc or local mechanics as well.
                          I do all the services myself as well as my last accomplishment was a complete front caliper overhaul as the brake pad wear was uneven.
                          One of the caliper got rusted and stuck.

                          However, I believe I am capable of performing front suspension overhaul as well but the most difficult task for me would be to get the tool required to open the fork.
                          Any idea where can I get one?

                            Hey guys completed around 5k kms in last six months. Got a car so the office commute with hornet has reduced a lot. Am. Just using the bike for running errands and planning for some road trips over the weekends. I have second service planned for tomorrow and just wanted to check whether i can go for a synthetic oil change in this service itself or do i need to wait for next service? If ok planning to add honda throttle, any better choices available in the market?

                              I got one from a prominent tools shop and another from Parvez aka blackwasp.

                              Ask your FNG they'd lead you.

                                Hi All,

                                I have big problem with bike-handle bar shaking little bit while going through path holes, i used to see that kind of handle issue in cycle when there is a broken Axel like that ,
                                SVC also agreed there is a problem but they can't able to identify which part exactly giving issue even after 5 visits to their best mechanic , they changed bearings tested with another tire and changed Axel rod but after changing road its fine for few days and again reappearing what might be the problem , and also i and getting jerks for even small small stones is my jumpers gone are what ?
