    This is the one part where Gixxer wins. I've had my friend change his stock tyres with the Gixxer ones. They have a far better grip. And yes, they are MRF ones (revz m/y). Or else:

    1. Pirelli Speed Demon
    2. Michelin Pilot Street
    What I personally felt is Honda should have installed tyres like gixxer's for hornet, as it has slimmer side walls and may the tyre is not heavy in weigh so the Gixxer feels better on low RPMs

    Whereas in hornet tyre is overall bulkier, though it enhances the masculine look of bike
    I think, it has a toll on low end punch due to weigh of tyre..
    Also am not sure , the tyre or gear ratio which can be a culprit for less low end grunt

    But in a straight road top speed, hornet should be the winner ahead of Gixxer..thanks to high power figures of hornet

      Gimmicks my friend. Another friend's Hornet was in a huge accident. He had to spend 20k+ on repairs. I asked him to use Unicorn 160's tyres and rims instead. He did. And guess what, his bike is as good as xBlade in terms of low end.

        While considering top speed comparison, u should take normal Gixxer and not the SF version,as it has wind shield advantage...

        But can't bliv , when u say Gixxer wins
        In 0 to 60, may Gixxer scores
        In 0 to 100,120 _ hornet scores

          More number of videos are there in Youtube to prove , hornet wins over Gixxer on top speed run...if not, try urself on a real road comparison


          Gixxer is faster only in "in gear acceleration" and not in outright

          Hornet boasts of more outputs numbers while the Gixxer peaks out at slightly lower RPM than hornet,
          Also gixxer is lighter than hornet, the latter redlines at higher range than gixxer

          So it's no denying, that hornet has an upper hand in top speed performance over gixxer

            You have good chance to change handle bar to clip-on handle bar like P220. I think it's doable. They are adjustable too.

              My handle bar starts little vibrating or buzzing after 60kmph...below that speed nothing wrong. Is it due to lose conset?(2017 hornet ran 24k)

                Just wanted to know

                What's the maximum speed that can be achieved on hornet 160r (2017/2018 editions) in stock condition without tweaking engine setup

                I achieved 123 kmph
                Saw YouTube videos doing 125 kmph

                So what's the best achieved so far?

                  Also, tell me can the gixxer SF 155 can do better top speed than hornet?

                  Despite it's body design advantage of full fairing, big windshield... this setup will help only to some extent incase of lower power figures

                  And we all aware that power figures and displacement of hornet are higher and it should be capable on beating gixxer sf

                  Don't think as Gixxer sf wins,
                  If wins, someone enlighten me how it can be?

                        Well, the time has come to sell my beloved Hornet and move on to something else, not sure what would it be. Could you please help with your experiences of selling Hornet through online portals such as listed below and which few would you recommend?

                          It has been 3 years and 3 months since Hornet lived in my heart and we had 11,300 KMs of fun on weekend rides. My bike still looks pristine and I have tried my best to keep it in great condition.

                            Great! Common issues that we all had with hornet but not really great problems [emoji23]

                            I'm still thinking on it, may be Interceptor, RR310. Next bike would be powerful & comfortable.

                              Hi All,
                              I am having weird problem with my abs.
                              All of sudden in between ride abs light starts blinking but when I switch of the ignition and start again it works again.
                              This happens 1 or 2 times a day. Especially during long rides.

                              Any one have any idea what's the problem.

                                Engine Refinement update :

                                Installed pulsar bar end weights and , wow the bike became as smooth as 160 4v, now my bike's handlebar feels like the bike's ignition is off!
