I'm starting to feel that buying Hornet is one of the worst mistakes of my life. (and trust me, I've made many mistakes)

Be happy and a reason will come along !

      No but,

The only things I dislike in hornet are

Bit less power in low RPMs_ but got habitual with the gear shifts_pull will be good when the chain is in proper condition rather than loosened

      Frequent chain loosening

Suspension is on stiffer side_but I got habitual with it

So i don't say it's a mistake on choosing hornet..
I won't say its a mistake on considering its good features like good stability, good mid range, decent top range, beast look, upright seating position, decent pillion comfort in comparison with most other powerful machines...

In short, hornet is best on highways...
Decent enough in plain roads without traffic...
      Manageable in city traffic..

My hornet brakes seems less powerful than earlier and the bike odo reading is 21000... Is it a time for brake shoe change?

If you adjust your chain too tight frequently, it will loose as other metal do. Also, you will face hard shifting and wear and tear of sprocket teeth. leave the chain a bit loose and it will not loose further or so quickly.

I have seen service centers adjust on tight setting, bike becomes hard and chain gets loosen in 2 month. By this rate one has to change the chain in a year only. Since 2nd servicing (6 months age), I inspect the chain tightness in every service. Never have to tight the chain outside service period of 6 months.

What issue you are facing due to "loosening" of chain?

When the chain is more lossened the pull power to the wheel gets reduced, especially in low RPMs i.e. the speed of engine power transmission from the crankshaft to the wheel get lowers a bit.

I noticed the torque difference in both the cases (proper/loosened)... I can feel the better torque when the chain is proper rather than loosened

Also, am not saying to make the chain too tightened...

Suggest some engine oil other than the default one, it should give some good performance than the default one without compromising on mileage

It's good but i found honda mineral to be more smoother than throttle, engine revs freely in mineral oil.

I always change oil every 2k kilometers, so i prefer good quality and cheap mineral oil.

But when I suggest oil other than the default one which the service guyz recommend
They tell as engine warranty will be void if used with different oil, so is that a thing to be considered?
