Bike has run 24k kms till now.

The carb might have been altered , you can ask your ASC to sort out the issue. Nothing to worry much !!

Yes you can run it for 5K or even more Kms but check it periodically !

What major differences you see between Honda and MOTUL oil?

How to check the condition of oil? If it needs replacement or not? About the differences, motul is thicker i guess and I have to warm it up on idle for one minute every morning otherwise engine will give little jerks. Motul is great for touring an long summer drives.

The brand new oil will be high viscous and MOTULs are especially jelly red !!

Over the usage of it they will lose the viscosity and their properties slowly.

So by using the dipstick we can check the oil level and if the oil does changes from the original color the oil life can be determined .

If the oil is in black colour immediate replacement is needed !

PS: I hope many of the 150+ cc bikes nowadays comes with the oil check dipstick !!

My September 2016 Hornet 160R is very comfortable on good roads and not at all comfortable on bad roads. Struggles to go past 117 kmph/doesn't go past 117 kmph mark. Low end grunt doesn't feel that good. Midrange is ok. Top end doesn't seem to exist. Exhaust note has some bass built-in. These are my personal observations and may differ with others' observations.

As far as performance is concerned, Hornet is nowhere close to RTR 180 and am sure you'll definitely miss the grunt of Apache. Since you're considering a used bike I'd suggest you to look for a well maintained RTR 200 or NS200.

Same observations in my 2018 hornet too! As said in powerdrift by SAGAR the engine of hornet is something else! [emoji23][emoji23]

I am just 5ft 4 inches, my first choice was RTR 200, as i have difficulties, as my legs are short of resting the ground. so both 1604v and 200 are ruled out.

The reason why want to be move away from rtr 180, i am getting back aches, due to riding postures. i am ready to sacrifice some power output, and get the Hornet 160r, for its comfort posture riding and some power.

Does the Hornet 160 cant be comapred to apache 160(old one)

If comfort is what you seek then do consider Honda XBlade. This bike is more comfortable then Hornet and thanks to its slightly narrow tyre the XBlade feels a bit peppy compared to Hornet.

Also, if you need both comfort and good performance then you can't go wrong with P150 Twin Disc ABS or P180F ABS.

Apache 160 old has very good low end torque but it's viby compared to hornet. Hornets comfort is very good, it's brakes are too very strong. Mileage is also good, but hornet doesn't love bad roads, it has very stiff suspension, but because of this stiff suspension the bike is rock solid even in 110 kmph. Overall it's a good bike. But if you want instant pickup then apache and pulsars and gixxers are way better !

Well, I want to do some modifications to my 2016 red Hornet. I'm kind of bored of the looks of it. Has anyone here done anything substantial here? I'm thinking of spray painting the alloys. What other modifications will you suggest? Anything which can help me cut some weight off?

Tail tidy, sari guard removal, ktm handguards, 2018 model headlight for more aggresive and modern looks , remove leg guard and installation of frame sliders etc etc. [emoji4][emoji4]

This bike doesn't feel as good as it looks, at least to me. It can't be termed bad either. On highway it is rather boring especially due to the roughness of the engine.
