Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Same feelings, the svc guys at jaybee honda tightened my chain too much! And the ride felt rough and it struggled to reach 80 kmph, after that i loosened the chain from outside mechanic and the bike became smooth [emoji4][emoji4]Originally posted by anoopkumar0 View PostWord of advice:
Don't go for too tight chain, a loose chain is much better than heavily tighten chain. Don't worry it is not going to fall out.
Recently ASC tightened the chain after 5K run (I was running pretty loose since 2-3 K and was stable, not further loosing).
When chain is getting dirty and dust is getting accumulated, a tight chain going to give you too rough ride than a loose chain.
Since last 2 weeks my bike started running like something stuck in break and it gone worse. At low speed, a significant vibration in foot-peg on each rotation . I cleaned the break but no improvement.
Today I started cleaning the chain, the wheel was not even rotating on either clutch engaged or disengaged in first gear. After a couple of Diesel spray it got freed. Earlier too, chain went too dirty but bike was there was no vibration.
Overall, if chain is bit looser than standard, leave it , it is not going to loose further. But if tight, eventually it is going to loose and you will face rough ride. Also, don't spray lube on dirty chain, it is going to attract more dirt.
I going to get rid of Motul lube, it seems to attracting too much dirt

Vibrations update:
So finally test rode new fz v3 and guess what! At 6k rpm the clutch lever started shaking and the key started moving in the tank portion due to vibrations! Thank god hornet is smoother than fz above 4k rpm, also the pull was missing in fz. My bike has normal single cylinder vibes, nothing much. Feeling happy now!
Conclusion: The 160 4v is the smoothest motorcycle in segment! Even smoother than the r 15 v 3, confirmed after test riding all the above mentioned models.
Thanks.

Yes, the pull from 4.5k rpm is engaging in hornet [emoji4][emoji4] when compared to other Japanese streetfighters.Originally posted by gowthamh View PostFinally some reason to make u feel happy about ur hornet

Apart from 1604v , hornet is the powerful in it's segment...only the power delivery in low RPMs is the minor drawbackOriginally posted by #bpk View PostYes, the pull from 4.5k rpm is engaging in hornet [emoji4][emoji4] when compared to other Japanese streetfighters.
Didn't consider r15v3 as it's a full faired kind

R 15 is in different genre since it's liquid cooled high tech motorcycle.Originally posted by gowthamh View PostApart from 1604v , hornet is the powerful in it's segment...only the power delivery in low RPMs is the minor drawback

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Does anyone know about the on road performance/review of Honda cb300r (the one gonna be available for Indian customers)
Just curious to know, as am impressed about its power to weight ratio, which should give it a superb good performance/acceleration/top speed
Also how well it's performing against it's rivals of 300cc segments??

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
It's performance is nearly equivalent to duke 390. I am also curious to ride the bike. But price is high for a single cylinder, but peace of mind is guaranteed by honda! i.e no oil mixing with coolant+ fi issues etc.Originally posted by gowthamh View PostDoes anyone know about the on road performance/review of Honda cb300r (the one gonna be available for Indian customers)
