The harder you grab on to the motorcycle with your arms the more sooner you'll start experiencing shoulder/back pains.

The same goes for how you haul your luggage, if you have a habit of using a backpack then I'd suggest you tether it to the motorcycle and let you back remain free.

As for the suspension I'd suggest you observe your back when going through undulations if it is under strain then set the rear suspension to a softer setting, if suspension action seems compromised then only you should consider going for replacements.

    Cheers.

    Bro... Thanks for your suggestions..
I usually try to sit with my back staright most of the time.. since journey is long, I slouch some times.. the road is usually a 6 lane or 4 lane.. so mostly it's very good..
Can I point me to some articles on riding position with some pics preferably or some videos on it..
I am also planning to take buses on alternate days.. but still thinking on that.

    Cheers!!!

The parking lights are really good with Osram 1w. The earlier on I installed was Chinese LED which was burned out. If anyone looking change parking lights go with 1w Osram/Philips. They look much better than Chinese bulbs and also come with 2 years warranty.

I changed the Headlamp with Xenon HID setup at home only. Honda really worked on setting pieces together. Every wire is neatly wrapped and fitting of assembly has to be perfect. The 3 knobs made sure that headlamp don't wobble and not dependent on screws. I took 15 minute to figure out perfect spot to mount back the headlamp.
When I changed Hero Glamour headlight. The wires were tangled and design of assembly was not clean.

I tried to changed parking light but when I pushed the bulb the holder went inside. Seems I have to open whole tail panel to set it back.

The Xenon HID is not bright enough on my bike. Seems it is either out of focus or something. Even I removed the HID cover. I have test some more. Otherwise, I will settle with Osram 40/45 w. Is there any Philips 40/45w halogen?

Hi Guys, any advice on engine cover? I am surprised xblade has engine cover but not Hornet. I travel through a wet road. Dirt falling all over engine!

You can install locally made mud / engine cover like Himalayan.

I finally got light focus correct with Xenon headlamp. Freaking awesome.

            Low Beam

High Beam, slightly lower otherwise it would blind the upcoming traffic.

Headlamp. The light is so white, OSRAM LED looks pale. [emoji48] .

But, I have to sacrifice with pass switch. It takes half a minute for full illumination. The high/low beam is same filament which mechanically goes up (low beam) and down (for high beam). It runs from battery power and illumination won't go down on low throttle. Positive is directly connected to battery. The negative is from AC circuit. The blaster somehow take care of AC to DC.

For comparison, I think OSRAM 40/45 is closest to this much of light.

Same here , on cold weather gearbox is smooth, while in hot climate it becomes hard.

Use a more viscous (read thicker) oil in hotter seasons. 10w30/10w40 for winters and 15w40/20w40 during summer.
                  Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

That'll screw the already screwed bike even more ! Valve seals will get damaged!

Isnt this a costly affair to change oil now and then? how about motul 10w50? can we change oil at 3200kms on Odo?

True how abt motul 10w50? or Honda synthetic oil? all the gears are good except 2 its going to neutral while shifting from 1-2 up shift, downshift also.

I am currently using throttle, engine becomes cool even in heavy traffic, false neutral problem has reduced, overall throttle is a good oil. Surprisingly, my bike is smoother than similarly aged hornet. Since, i didn't stressed the engine while break in period, so my engine is in good condition.

Even I have never stressed my engine in break in period, drove below 5k RPM. Should i go with Throttle or Motul with 3500 on ODO?

Yeah, LED headlamps come with single unit AFIK, which you can't change the bulb. Better install spot beam aux, if required.
Gear shift got smother with Honda Throttle. Have you started using FS?

Don't go with FS now. For Hornet, As per my experience. Brush up you bike till 6k. Try smooth reeving till 7K in 3rd gear sometime, 7-7.5k in 4th gear and 8K in 5th gear. Don't stress too much, as a owner you know your bike limit. This will open up your engine and vibration will go down significantly when you change the oil next time, probably full synthetic.

Few days back I revved till 8K in 3rd gear and oh boy what a sweet sound. I didn't continue just touched it. 7-7.5 K RPM in 4rth gear feels so good.

Problem is that it takes a long time for the engine to settle. Other motorcycles are free from day 1,whereas honda needs 6k kilometers.
