Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
The svc is greedy! Only after 30k kilometres engine flushing is required. Also synthetic oils have best engine cleaning property in them, justvuse honda throttle and be tension free!Originally posted by Rohit3235 View PostHello,
Has any one used 3m additives and 3m engine flush?
Authorized Service Centre is pushing me for using those products during oil change Interval.

My odometer reads 8.5k kms. I am using honda throttle since 3.6k kms. Today i went for oil change and my SA was insisting me for those stuff which i straight away rejected. He told me “ saar synthetic oil ke sath flush aur additives bohot acha work karta hai”. [emoji1319]Originally posted by #bpk View PostThe svc is greedy! Engine Flush, Decarbonization etc. are scams IMHO, change consumables religiously and that's all it takes.Originally posted by Rohit3235 View PostMy odometer reads 8.5k kms. Mineral, Synthetic, Semi-Synthetic, Nanobots or whatever, they're cross compatible otherwise specifically mentioned by the manufacturer, which I doubt is.

Redlining also helps to de-carbonize, it's called Italian Tune up.Originally posted by ashwinprakas View PostEngine Flush, Decarbonization etc. are scams IMHO, change consumables religiously and that's all it takes.

Works every single time!Originally posted by Zapps View PostRedlining also helps to de-carbonize, it's called Italian Tune up.
But then these days people are so into the marketing hoopla that they keep running the same oil for crazy amounts of km's, hence didn't feel comfortable suggesting the old tried and tested method.

Does it really harm engine after using such products?Originally posted by ashwinprakas View PostEngine Flush, Decarbonization etc. are scams IMHO, change consumables religiously and that's all it takes.

Big nope for any extra things like:Originally posted by Rohit3235 View PostHello,

Nitrogen Air - In my area petrol bunks are shutting down free air by putting Out of order and charging 20 for Nitrogen air. Don't get fooled, it's useless.
Chain Clean and lube - They never don't clean the chain
Additive or flush
Ask them specifically, what are the things they are going to charge. They will say as usual but but tell clearly if not mentioned on service slip or authorized over phone, you will not pay a single rupee.
As others said, flush is not required at early age.
Clean the chain by yourself. You will be surprised how much sludge accumulated on chain and how free bike feels after cleaning and lubing
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
Goto to ASC. They will fix it for free, 99.99% chances.Originally posted by Ankan_Biswas View PostDoes anyone know about this rivet? I lost one and my tank shroud is flapping around.------------------

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
I am quite busy these days so, i am driving too harsh and front and back wheels are making some noise, like in bi cycle front wheel axle sound-any one aware of this sound ?
like loose connection at joint of wheel and front forks like sound - what might be the issue.
bike making so much sound like old bike - all that can be fixable ?Last edited by raaz321; 03-19-2019, 01:00 PM.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
yes while breaking or moving through path holes or some stones on road, i am observing these movements and some sound, i have this big doubt, if we ride hard like sudden acceleration and sudden deceleration will that effect engine badly ? like uneven piston or cylinder sufrace or any other form of issue ?Originally posted by anoopkumar0 View PostI think Cone-set gone wrong.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Cone set in the handle assembly. Generally handle movement is not smooth because of bad cone set.Originally posted by raaz321 View Postyes while breaking or moving through path holes or some stones on road, i am observing these movements and some sound, i have this big doubt, if we ride hard like sudden acceleration and sudden deceleration will that effect engine badly ? like uneven piston or cylinder sufrace or any other form of issue ?
Whatever it is, it could be starting of bigger problem. Better get it resolved from ASC immediately.------------------
