Brothers I experienced a wierd thing today.
I was riding my bike I shifted 4th to 5th gear around 55kmph suddenly bike felt rough like gear slip and harsh sound like karrrrr came from bike. This occurred two times today and only when shifting from 4th to 5th.
I had to apply clutch and down shift to 4th and again to 5th.
This thing made me worried as this might be dangerous while driving in traffic and at this speed I might loose control.

Does anyone have any idea what this might be. Chain is not loose.

Might be gear getting stuck in between. Did the RPM went unusually high ?

Check the marking at side of tyres and between grooves. You might be riding on good roads. I also completed 25k seems 2/3 grooves are still left.

Rpm was little bit high and the noise too. I applied brakes and slowed down with full clutch and down shifted and went on. Is this a false neutral??

In case of false neutral/gear stuck in between the RPM will shoot up to 7-8K as if you twisted accelerator in neutral.
I had similar issue in Hero Honda Hunk. RPM shoots up to 7-8K as if I twisted accelerator in neutral. Gear was getting stuck in 4 -> 5 transition.
It's better to visit ASC. Find some good mechanic there to explain your issue.

If your bike is non ABS model, I would recommend changing them as front tyre may skid under harsh braking. I had faced this twice.
Try doing a Burnout or stoppie, is your front tyre slipping? Or is rock steady?
                  also,
At least 2mm depth should be available in treads.

That's great mileage on th stock zappers. You must be riding on some really great roads. Does your tyre slip while trying to brake on sandy and moderately wet surfaces? Or does it lock up under hard braking? If so, I would recommend changing.

Q1: Are you facing issue after 6K ODO? Rough, gear shift etc.
It's just a little while before one gets used to the riding style of a Hornet. Gear shifts and all needs to be done with feel and quickly in a flick rather than checking the rpms. Over caring to maintain and shift at a specific rpm on the bike leads to time consuming gear shifts which leads to the reduction in rpms and making the gear shifts feel hard.
A quick update on the chain life. I've just got it adjusted once at 6k kms service and there's no chain sound even till 12k. The chain and sprockets are still healthy enough for another 12k at least which is a significant improvement over the earlier ones.
With my experience, I can suggest anyone holding the previous gen hornets to go for the O ring chain and sprockets during a chain overhaul.

Nowadays even if i shift at 3 k rpm the gearshifts are slick [emoji4][emoji4]

Will changing stock oil reduce false neutral and hard shifting.

I am experiencing false neutrals when shifting from 4to 5 gear

Actually no oil can solve this issue, this honda engine need a lot of kilometers to get smooth, after 4.5 k kilometers only things like gearbox and engine refinement issue gets sorted out, I've completed 4.7 k kilometers till now and these problems have sorted now. So, have patience.

I have completed almost 9k kms.
From the day one i am consistently facing this issue, no solution till date.
                              But refinement level is excellent.

That would depend on how crappy the stock oil is in the first place.

False neutral is quite normal and happens when the dogs don't engage properly, the reason the dogs don't engage can be due to several reasons but inadequate lubrication is the most common contributor.

Do give Motul 3100 Gold a shot, though not a fan of Motul I have to say the quality of shifts have gone up exponentially on my P220 and the effect remains so even after 1k km's of use, the shifting used to be notchy in comparison on everything I've gone with in the past which includes Motul 5100 and 7100, which though are from the same manufacturer haven't brought such a noticeable difference.

May or may not work for you.
