Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
I haven’t changed my tyre so yet.Originally posted by insignificantpotato View PostI just can't believe how helpful everyone is here. Thank you both for the information. Yes my tyre has worn out. Which brand of tyre would you recommend?
But many of the hornet owners are replacing stock tyre with either MRF Masseter or Michelin Pilot sport.

Suggest me a Tyre model, which should have nice on road grip (including wet roads) as well decent off road grip (yes off road) but should retain the same or better than stock Tyre performanceOriginally posted by Rohit3235 View PostI haven’t changed my tyre so yet.

Michelin pilot street radial.

pirelli sports demon.
Both Michelin pilot street & pirelli sports demon are soft compound tyres. Both are excellent for wet & dry surface & for cornering . But both being soft compound they are bad for off roading as it attracts bulges and other damages.

MFR Masseter.
MRF Masseter is medium compound tyre .VFM as well for daily commute. Including wet & dry surface & excellent for cornering as well. You can use this for off-roading as well if it isn’t on the daily basis.

Ceat Zoom XL
Ceat zoom XL is hard compound tyre. Which is economical and long lasting as compared to above 3.
Hard compound tyres won’t give you much comfort as compared to softer/medium ones. Look at the thread pattern. It has less flat surface so it is good for wet conditions as water is passed away through the gaps. It can be good for off-road purpose as well.
LESS FLAT SURFACE = GOOD FOR WET, DAMP ROAD CONDITIONS
MORE FLAT SURFACE = GOOD FOR DRY ROAD CONDITIONS.

Less comfort (Ceat tyre) means, you are saying about suspension or smoothness...?Originally posted by Rohit3235 View Post

Also does any of modern tyres comes with puncture proof material?

Hard compound won’t absorb the bumps and potholes properly so less comfort (smoothness) while dealing with the same. It won’t harm your suspension.Originally posted by gowthamh View PostLess comfort (Ceat tyre) means, you are saying about suspension or smoothness...?

Ceat has launched puncture proof tyres.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Thanks for info... Actually in recent days it's really hard to protect our bike tyres from getting punctured (credits to metro rail work, road works etc) so people are looking for puncture proof tyres , at the same time the Tyre shouldn't compromise on overall performanceOriginally posted by Rohit3235 View PostHard compound won’t absorb the bumps and potholes properly so less comfort (smoothness) while dealing with the same. You could always opt for Michelin if you are willing to spend some extra bucks. Pilot sports gives the best stability and grip from my experience.Originally posted by insignificantpotato View PostI just can't believe how helpful everyone is here. Michelin Pilot Sport. Pirelli's are too soft for off-roading TBH. Smoothness if the worst on Ceat Zoom XL. Used it on other bikes. Tend to get hard and not economical like people claim it to be. The tyre is rather jumpy.Originally posted by gowthamh View PostSuggest me a Tyre model, which should have nice on road grip (including wet roads) as well decent off road grip (yes off road) but should retain the same or better than stock Tyre performanceLast edited by Bismaya; 01-30-2019, 01:24 AM.[My Motorcycles]

MASSETER looks allrounder pic. Amzaon description says (Multi compound tyre (radial plus nylon) ), but no radial information on official page.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Need help,
1.how to fix scratch on silencer, 2018 special edition model, yesterday a bike collided on to my silencer causing a minor scratch
2. Feeling vibrations under the seat fro 2900kms, initially engine was smooth excep hard gear shifting, please suggest what went wrong, ASC guys keep telling vibrations are common yet to go for 2 service
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
I am facing huge vibrations under seat past 2800kms,it was butter smooth previously 2 servicing is yet to be done, lets see ASC is very reluctant in complaints, hope for the best!Originally posted by #bpk View PostThe 2018 owners say that their bikes doesn't have any kind of vibes, but i suspect them specially after riding 2 bikes , and revving one brand new bike in svc today. Strangely i didn't find any bothering vibes in either 160 4v or fz fi .

Your ODO is still less and only one service.
Did you open your throttle to full range?
For your ODO, before second service (6000Kms), Do the following once in while
1. Try to shift gears on on higher RPM >4.5k (3rd -> 4th) and >5.5 (4th -> 5th).
2. Open up throttle in 3rd gear till 6k RPM and 4th gear till 7K RPM.
Bike should feel free after couple of weeks. Don't stress or very hard throttle. Go back to normal driving if you feel the bike is bike is stressing.------------------
