Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
F: 26 and F:36 are usually for 18 inch tyres on small capacity motorcycles like 100-125cc bikes who usually have 3.00-18 tyres. On Hornet, I've found that a combination of F:25 and R:30 works the best. Avoid excess pressure on both tyres. 40 is a bit too much on rear and makes the bike all jumpy. Use what I've recommended and you'll find a better experience. Are you still on the stock Zappers? Also, proper tyre pressure is useful in more proper breaking. Check Page 25 of the owners manual. There's also a sticker on swing arm which details this. You'll see that recommended air pressure is F:25 and R:29/30. Any lower, you'll find handle is not balancing correctly it's forcing you to left and right sides. Took the Hornet out for a spin in this foggy weather. Don't have any good pics though. Sorry.Originally posted by gowthamh View Post

Thanks will try out F:25 R:30 once and observe the Tyre performanceOriginally posted by Bismaya View PostF: 26 and F:36 are usually for 18 inch tyres on small capacity motorcycles like 100-125cc bikes who usually have 3.00-18 tyres. I will have the ASC clean and tune the carburetor as well.Originally posted by elviento View PostPreviously even after ride if the bike would sit for half an hour also it starts with ignition but in a few seconds it dies out like gasping for fuel. Now it doesn't die out easily. If left idle, it remains idle and doesn't shut down.
Thanks!

F 26 & R 32/33 to minimise chances of puncture. Also make sure that tyre pressure gauges show correct readings. Roadside tyre repair shops may have faulty gauges which actually show lower readings and in reality pressure may be way too higher.Originally posted by gowthamh View PostGuys, can u tell me the exact Tyre pressure which we have to maintain for the front and rear Tyre of hornet... In average all the petrol bunks are filling front 26 and rear 30. And some are filling excess like front_30 , Rear_40 and some others like F_26 , R_36... Due to this excess air pressure the cracks are formed in the Tyre when we hit bumps

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
You may have overfilled & blocked the evaporative emission control system/canister. Also may be due to faulty spark plug/coil which should be of vey low probability. Or simply switch to extra premium or similar branded/higher octane number petrol or change the fuel station & fill at petrol pumps having good reputation.Originally posted by raaz321 View Postbike going like when petrol is empty , like slow and pick kind of any idea what it might be ?

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Yes, it does cause grinding type of vibration in some bikes - similar to rubbing stone on stone. I vaguely remember one CG160 Titan owner posting on youtube about vibrations - the clutch shaft bearing was loose and the shaft was able to move left/right slightly. Another cause of vibration could be too much play between the clutch outer and the collar on which it sits. These 3 can cause vibrations even in neutral. Where is this Honda Superbike SVC ? Make sure you tell the Big Shot you are going to see that you can touch the clutch cover with your foot and feel crazy vibrations - that is what I remember you telling us last time.Originally posted by #bpk View PostHi guys, does incorrect valve clearance cause vibrations. How to identify it. Everything is normal in my bike except vibrations. I will visit honda superbike svc soon.Last edited by ashwanth.r; 01-25-2019, 10:08 PM.

I will shift to guwahati for a training. I've covered 320 kilometers with pillion doing 110 kmph in a single day [emoji23][emoji23].Originally posted by ashwanth.r View PostYou are going to ride 180 kms in a vibrating motorcycle? - try to do it in the RPM where it least vibrates without lugging it. Am curious to know what their finding is going to be!

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Why don't you get the valve clearances checked by an experienced mechanic at ASC? If valve clearance is more you should hear tappet noise and if less you should experience lesser power/lower compression when the engine heats up. But riding with pillion at 110 kmph it seems compression is ok. Consult ASC as you feel vibration is on the higher side. You may also check with your friends' Hornets if they have.Originally posted by #bpk View PostHi guys, does incorrect valve clearance cause vibrations. How to identify it.
